I live in San Francisco but met DJ Goodword through a 3-day event I throw in Palm Springs, California. He DJs at the event AND oversees the other DJs that are lined up for the weekend. His capacity to read a crowd and react with agility to keep booties shaking and people having the time of their lives is remarkable. The joy he gets from doing this is clearly apparent from the grin he can't seem to lose while he's behind the turntables. His enthusiasm is infectious. He caters his sets to the personality, mood, and intent of the event and his clients. No cookie-cutter regurgitated set list from DJ Goodword. Bonus: His "headphones" are a rotary phone handset. p.s. Since Revolution Entertainment provided reasonable pricing (and they are the DJ for the Spartan race) I figured I'd give them a try. Leading up to the wedding, and for the wedding, Chris from revolution entertainment couldn't have been more helpful. He was very responsive to every question that we had, was knowledgeable, and such a pleasure to deal with. He helped us out with every decision that we needed help with. What type of music, where and when we needed music to be played, what type of lighting for the DJ, suggestions for lighting at the venue... The list goes on. He even came and sat with us as we went through the checklist with our venue and I was thinking "isn't this a waste of his time?". But the day of our wedding was what really set him apart. We could not have asked for a better DJ. His music choices, his ability to read the mood of the event and to play music that was appropriate, him MCing some of the wedding games for us, Chris truly was awesome and went above and beyond what we had expected! Even my best man at my wedding (who's wedding is coming up in a couple of weeks) regretted not going with revolution entertainment for his wedding. Which completely disagrees with my experience, Having booked with Chris at Revolution entertainment for years and recommended them as a reliable source of party engineering excellence(they call themselves party engineers!) often times with photo booth, I have never encountered the problems that were described, just to be sure I checked an old USB from an event we hosted and there are a few fuzzy pictures which like Chris responded are probably due to (often inebriated merry makers moving too much during the shot) but overall the pictures look great, people seem to love dressing silly and capturing the moment and their DJs are the most fun I have ever seen!
