If you have a condition that comes with paralysis or mobility disability and need the help of staff…read moregetting into the oxygen chamber, this place is *not* for you. Or if you believe in accessibility for disabled folks in general, and that principle should be a priority in a facility whose sole purpose is "healing", this place is * not* for you. My father has advanced Multiple Sclerosis and needs to be transferred in and out of his wheelchair. He is 6'2", and to get into another chair or bed, it takes another person, or sometimes two or three people. We understand that takes time and effort. (As his family and caregivers, we do it multiple times a day, every day.) But at other appointments such as the dentist or any of the many other doctors and professionals he must see, it's not a problem; staff are trained, happy to help, and expect it is part of their job in a health setting. The Hyperbaric Oxygen Institute advertises its services specifically for "quadriplegia" (this is literally the first condition listed on their "conditions treated" page) and mentions that folks with MS, Parkinson's, stroke, and other similar disorders can be helped. This gave my parents a lot of hope. They made an appointment and were willing to invest significant precious resources into receiving the advertised treatments. At the appointment, they accomplished the transfer and it was fine, but they were treated like a bother (by one staff member in particular). After that, my parents received a phone call telling them not to come back. The staff said my father was a liability and their insurance wouldn't cover the needed support to help him transfer and access their services. My mom cried for hours and my dad was sad for days. Not only were they humiliated, but they felt hopeless after being treated that way specifically at a place meant to help people like him. Fortunately, most other medical (and other) facilities we must frequent are accommodating, and have the staff and insurance in place to actually help the people who need it. I am glad that this place is helping some people. But my recommendation to them would be to increase their liability insurance coverage in order to be accessible to all, and be able to help those to whom they specifically advertise. In the meantime, those who need extra support in accessing HBOT services should stay away.

The team at Capo Performance Rehab are the best!…read more I was first introduced to Michael @ CPB in 2023 by my wife. She knew i wanted to get back into surfing but my shoulders were holding me back as they were in bad shape! I had seen multiple Dr's & everyone of them said the only fix would be rotator cuff surgery. As bad as i wanted to surf again i wasn't willing to go under the knife again as i already had so many other operations resulted from a lifetime of motocross & other similar activities. So, anyway.... My wife suggested talking w/ Mike so I did. I was skeptical! However after meeting with (we call Dr Mike:) he was confident & put a plan in place. So i decided f*** it, lets go for it. Was not easy & or always pleasant but great results take hard work & commitment.. (Dr Mike's) plan of attack was to break it all down to rebuild & that's exactly what we did! I was back in the water!! & every session I was able to paddle longer & harder. Keep in mind, My shoulders were WRECKED, beyond repair before we started.. Long story short with in a few months after rehab I was Back! (Dr Mike) did the impossible!!! "................................mind you, NO SURGERY........................." Then..........after fully being back in the swing of surfing on the reg weekly, thanks to CPB I had begun skateboarding again as it was always a passion of mine & I had let it go to the way side as i aged due to aches & pains.... Skating was always good training in between getting in the ocean. I was loving every bit of it & skating almost every day. "I had fell back in love with skating" is an understatement! In December of 2024 I had an accident in the park, I over rotated a trick destroying my knee. I thought that was it, finally done & was going to have to face everyone that told me i was to old to be doing all this s**t. I was bummed! I met with my surgeon & consulted Mike & we decided what to do. I'm not done was the consensus, I was just getting started again & this was but a minor set back. I knew with (Dr Mike) in my corner & a great surgeon (Dr Shepard) I could bounce back... I decided to go ahead with the surgery with the intention of getting back on the board as soon as possible. ACL, MCL, PCL surgery at the young age of 45. Dr Mike had me in PT the week after my operation, & guess what, another miracle....I was hitting the PT twice a week and exceeding everyone's rehab expectations including my surgeon. Dr Mike did everything just right, we were way ahead of schedule! ACL surgery is tricky, you get to a point where you feel great, muscles come back, flexibility comes back but you have to be extremely patient and careful because its super important to let the ligament heal & that's a long 9 to 12 months! After 8 months I was fully released to roll again. (I took it slow) My surgery was Feb of 2025 & I was back in the park Nov of 25! A whole month ahead of best case scenario... Conclusion, whether you went to bed & injured yourself in your sleep & now you cant move or you fell off the roof & got reconstructive surgery on your whole body. You're young, you're old, whatever... I would highly recommend Capo Performance Rehab! 10 out of 10 stars! Thank you Capo Performance Rehab! You make impossible, possible!!! HAPPY CUSTOMER 4 LIFE...

Our experience at Ashara Health & Wellness was extremely disappointing…read more On November 6, 2025, I brought my teenage son to Ashara because he was ill and dehydrated and was seeking hydration therapy. During his visit, his condition deteriorated rapidly. He became pale, began sweating profusely, appeared disoriented, and nearly lost consciousness. His condition became serious enough that I called 911, and he was transported by ambulance to the emergency room for evaluation and treatment. As a result, our family incurred more than $1,400 in emergency medical bills, in addition to other expenses. Since then, I have attempted to resolve this matter professionally. I sent certified correspondence requesting reimbursement or, at a minimum, the contact information for Ashara's professional liability insurance carrier so the claim could be handled appropriately. I also requested copies of the medical records and other relevant documentation. Despite these efforts, I have received no response. I understand that unexpected medical events can occur, but what has been most disappointing is the complete lack of communication afterward. Ignoring a patient's family after such a serious incident does not reflect the level of professionalism or accountability I expected. I hope Ashara Health & Wellness will choose to respond and work toward resolving this matter.
