Stayed in a standard double room (much smaller than expected) -- the only warning I have is that the shower is small: I kept smashing my elbows while using it. Breakfast is buffet-style, just your usual selections of hams and cheeses, fruits, yogurt, cereal, baguette/bread/etc. They also give you a croissant (very, very good) when you come down and tell them your room number. Since the hotel is very small (only 35 rooms or so), there is no dry cleaning service nor dinner service, so you will need to go out to grab a bite. The hotel is walking distance into the old town, so the location is great and it is right across from the main train station in Annecy. Staff are friendly and have a very good memory (I was surprised they always remembered my room number). Overall, a good stay.

I'm so glad she chose this hotel. It was walking distance to many cafes, crepe stands, ice cream stands, and shops. The hotel lobby has a really fun vibe. The shower left something to be desired but I'm used to American showers so the weird sideways showerhead and half glass wall things always seem a little off to me. I liked the location....it was close to plenty of restaurants within walking distance and also a short walk to the lakefront. It was always easy to get cabs and Ubers. I did have a difficult time with one of the concierge online when I had a question about fitting in a child's cot in the room. We were only there for one night and I didn't want to spend $500 on the family room when we were only there to sleep. This place is a little difficult to figure out how to get to from the airport, so we just walked instead of trying to find a tram or a train to take us here. The walk was about 1 mile and we didn't mind it. However, take the wrong turn and you'll end up on the Red Light district with prostitutes so be careful. Once we arrived, the concierge was really nice, though he had a hard time getting our room key to work and our check-in took about a half hour. Once we were upstairs in our room, it was all good. When I tried booking it over the phone, the person, I think her name was Sandrine, told me that the room was too tiny and wouldn't fit a family of 4, but I beg to differ, it was a standard size hotel room and even with the kids' cot in it, it was comfortable. Our bed had lights underneath it, there was an LED mood lighting that you can change. The tv offers music as well as tv for you to watch and everything was functioning from the tv itself. The bed was really comfortable and as you know, in Europe the beds are tiny, so ours was just two full size beds put together, but it wasn't too bad overall. The bar closes at midnight so we were bummed about that. Overall, not a bad place to stay.

Spacious rooms, great atmosphere, impeccable service, wonderful restaurant and bar, and a very courteous and professional staff. Two bus stops, 5 minutes, from the UN European Headquarters, and less than 10 minutes by bus from downtown. Across from a park on beautiful Lake Geneva, and 20 minutes, on one bus, from the airport. I come to Geneva 2-3 times a year, and there is one place I'll be staying from now on--Hotel Mon Repos!

I am very grateful for the real bath towels - fluffy and large! The breakfast is well appointed for the price. The dinner menu is pretty basic yet fine. The staff is lovely and given I do not speak any language except English I never had any trouble as once each employee knew I needed to speak English - they quickly adapted. I received a local transit card, free of charge with unlimited use for my entire stay. What a nice surprise and I used it all week. Thank you. My one and only complaint is that there is very little soundproofing between the rooms. This is a very old building and I suspect this is the issue. I could hear conversations on both sides of my room; the child coughing through the night; and the snore of a fellow guest. No doubt that means that my late night work calls could be heard and were disruptive to others. Bring your earplugs and if you work on an international schedule - do your best to speak quietly.

The location does provide a shuttle but not early enough for an early flight so just be aware of that restriction. This was not a problem for us as we were driving our own car. Be also aware that this hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere so if you don't have your own transportation you'll be stuck there. The only things nearby are a McDonald and a supermarket across the street. Now on the hotel itself, staff was effective, professional and welcoming. Free wi-fi was provided. The hotel appears a bit old but yet well maintained with good bedding. Nothing extraordinary about the rooms but they were comfortable, quiet for a good night sleep. So overall, this is a good option for a quiet night before or after a flight out or in of GVA.

We parked in the City Hall parking space across the street and rolled our bags over. It was a short couple of blocks and there were elevators in the garage and the hotel. It was an easy roll and not challenging. It is a good idea to map out the location so you can find the place ahead of time as though the shop owners and locals are very helpful it is hard to understand their French and most people we encountered did not speak English - though they do at the hotel.
