I am so glad we accidentally happened on this place, what a treasure. We came on Bastille Day to our Airbnb across the street and asked our host what they recommended for dinner since everything was closed, even the markets. She made reservations for us and our four kids, aged 11-17. We were nervous--would the kids like it? Would they behave? Would it be expensive? Would they be annoyed by us stupid Americans? Answers, yes, yes, yes, and a little. But it was the quintessential French five course dining experience al fresco at sunset that became a highlight of our trip. We also met a great British couple who were staying at the very dog friendly hotel and loved it. The chef was very polite and extremely talented, and our waiter was just the right amount of annoyed with us to be a perfect stereotype. Go there! read more
