Pro -Accor Gold status allowed us two hour early check-in. We didn't stay in the room. We left our luggage and walked around. -2 free drinks, which we forgot to use -Location -View Cons -Accor Gold membership only allows early check-in OR late check-out. We were asking for one hour. They said they were full. I could see online that our room was available to book for that night and the following night. -Decor. The lobby seating area was so low and uncomfortable. The room decor was so boring and nightstand was just big enough for an iPhone. -French hospitality, non-existent. As we were heading towards the elevator, the three staff members were all talking to each other by the reception area. They had no hello or bonsoir for us. And every time we walked into the building there was one or two staff members by the front door. They never said hello. That is why we never ate there. -No useable fridge -Shower wall was glass. No grab bar. You can see the light from the bed area. -No free water. For environmental purposes, they should have provided refillable water. -Smell in sink area -No slippers, no robe -Water pressure was low. We made a mistake in choosing Accor. We should have stayed in a smaller boutique hotel for our 6 week trip.

Novotel Paris Les Halles is the hotel which ended my love affair with Paris. I stayed here for four nights in January 2024 with my two teenage daughters. On each prior trip to Paris, we'd return home searching for apartments and planning how we could possibly move to Paris. After two nights in this hotel, that ended. I paid $550usd via Am Ex points a night as I was paying more (I understood) to accommodate three people in a room. Rooms are usually very small in Paris. The room was smaller than expected and I see now that the website booking used a very wide angle stretched photo. The room had a six inch brown stain by the front door. As this is a dog friendly hotel, we were suspect. The remote didn't work. There was a leak in the wall. The shower shelf was broken so as you bathed the shampoo slid off to hit your toe. I spoke to the manager who was lovely and he moved us to another room. Larger room, another brown stain by the front door. Slightly improved view of Les Halles but not beautiful. Views from both rooms were not worth $550/night. I read good reviews on this hotel so am surprised. I believe if you are traveling for business (not paying yourself) and don't have brown stains, this hotel is a convenient location and large. This is not a hotel for someone who wants to fall in love with Paris. Both my children and I don't want to return.

Great hotel! When you step out, you have the metro train right outside. There are also restaurants right outside the hotel and in very close walking distance. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable!

Eleven days adventure to start a new chapter in my life with a lost former love where we stayed at Novotel. The rooms are quite small, good ventilation with proper admenties. The location is within distance from the Paris Metro. The lobby is clean an ample seating. However, being on our special away as to the post-biggest day of our lives we were suppose to have "the best room possible" arranged by our travel agent in New York City but did not receive anything special, so we mistakenly receive a platter of french meringue cookies and a bottle of champagne. Thus, we were Mr. and Mrs. Essccshare while eating all the treats and four stars rating.

What is this blue lights shining into the room? Who could sleep in these conditions?

Revision to original review.***30|5|18 Three room changes later we are finally in the room depicted on their website photos. I had the choice of selecting many hotels for our stay in Paris. I could've used my Marriott's points for our stay but I opted to try this chain. Novotel is a worldwide chain and because we travel internationally once a year I figured we'd try a new chain. Thank you Guy for being excellent at the reception desk and Jean Christophe (guest relations manager) for taking my complaint seriously and making the rest of our stay comfortable by changing our room. Pros: Check in was easy. Reception was pleasant. Cons: The pictures posted on booking sites are fake. The room given to us for 800 euros was from the 1980's. The safe is on the floor, the bed creeks and when you sit at the edge the head rises not to mention the view is of blue lights shining into a window that does not open. I cannot believe the amount of money I paid for a room, I could've gone to Citadines next door for less and higher quality.

That rate has since climbed to 75,000 points, and I don't think any of us are likely to go back for all that. This was a free stay for me and my crew, so let me start by saying the hotel was generally very nice. The location was excellent, central and close to transit, and the common areas were opulent and attractive. Everyone I interacted with on staff was polite and helpful, and housekeeping did good work. I also appreciated the complimentary wine and chocolates left in our room, and the breakfast and dinner at the lobby restaurant. My brothers and I had rooms on the 4th floor, while my parents were in a suite on the 6th. My room had a king bed and room for a rollaway, which my kids took turns sleeping in when they weren't just piling onto our bed. The rooms were comfortable and upscale, if more in line with 45,000 points than 75,000. No wow factor, and some things felt weird and old. The outlet situation wasn't great. There were no adaptors, and there were a couple USB ports, but they were for smartphone cables from like five years ago. The lighting was also nuts. We wanted to turn off most of the lights when our kids went to bed, but keep one on so we could hang out in the room. There was legit no way to do this, and we sat in the dark rather than have spotlights keeping our kids awake. These are minor complaints, which I might have ignored if not for my big complaint: the planned power outage on the last night of our stay. We were not notified of this outage in advance of our trip, and only learned about it through a printed letter left in our room. The power outage was scheduled for between midnight and 4:30 in the morning, an we found out about it when we returned to the hotel after midnight and learned the elevators weren't running. We walked up the stairs and spent the night in an overheated room with no electricity in the middle of July. It was really unpleasant. When we woke up, we learned the electricity was still partially out, and neither of our phones had charged. My husband's phone was dead, and he went downstairs to get it charged and complain to the front desk. He told them that the hotel shouldn't have been open for business, and they offered to refund my mom 45,000 points, the cost of our room for that night. This was a good start, but only accounted for one of our four rooms. When we compared notes with my mom, we also learned that a hotel employee had opened the door to our room that night while she was in there watching our sleeping children. He didn't announce himself until she asked who he was and chased him out, and when she inquired with management about what happened, they told her we'd requested help with a safe. This wasn't true, but they acted like it was, and were generally dismissive and unapologetic. My mom ended up emailing management about all of the above, and they were, overall, dismissive and unapologetic. At some point, they did quietly give her the 45,000 points promised to my husband, but there was no other acknowledgment that she had been inconvenienced. As my husband pointed out, the hotel wasn't fit to be occupied that night, and there must have been a meeting to discuss whether or not to close for business. Management must have decided that would be too expensive, and that the letter would be sufficient. Look, I'm not a difficult customer, and I certainly don't go around complaining about fancy hotels. But our Park Hyatt experience was a solid B. I wouldn't recommend it, especially not at the new rate.

I selected the queen size bed room - my close friend selected the full size bed room. We arrived in the early evening and check in was quick. Fortunately the lift /elevator was working as we had a lot of luggage it all fit as well as myself . The room was small and basic, which I expected being in downtown Paris. The bathroom was simple with a bathtub shower combo. The bed was comfortable and there was a working a/c however it didn't really get the room super cold but kept it comfortable for summer. Fortunately the heat wave was over by the time we arrived. Tne bathroom did get very warm if you were styling your hair or doing your makeup. I would suggest bringing a small portable fan with you if coming in tne summer . The location is the selling point of this hotel. Walking distance to so many cute restaurants and cafes. 5 minute walk to Notre Dame and the Sienne River. Felt perfectly safe walking around day or night even solo. Usually there were young men working the front desk. They were always polite however I wish they were able to provide a little more suggestions where to go or how to get around for a first time visitor. Great budget hotel in the 5th.

There was also a relatively spacious bathroom with a nice bath tub (a good find in Paris). The room had quiet, perfectly-working AC and the Wifi was free. There was also a safe in the room. We were basically on a roll. The room also had double windows, which eliminated the noise from the adjacent street (this was amazing). The location is also quite nice. It's in the Latin quarter, walking distance from Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Sorbonne. Metro access is easy as well, in fact it is on a direct RER B line from CDG airport (station St.Michele) Plus, I haven't even gotten to the best part, which was the breakfast. It was 8 euros, and there was a plentiful selection of breads, jams, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, and cereals. All was super tasty. Plus the coffee and hot chocolate were delicious, brought out in small cute pitchers so you could have a nice servicing. We went all around France during our trip and I still remember the drinks there. Yummy. Overall, the price was right, the location was good, and the rooms were great. I would recommend it to anyone.
