OK. We checked in after a hard day's night on Italian trains and the promised room with a view was, instead, a dirty room on first floor with a view of a garbage laced courtyard. We crashed, happy with the shower. The carpeting outside our door was disgusting. Truly. We complained and were moved to a room with a street view on the fifth floor. This room would get four stars but for the awful, really awful pillows. Again, a first class shower. Nice room. Much better but you have the feeing this entire hotel could use a good cleaning behind the ears, beginning with the carpeting. Did not try the (expensive) breakfast. The check-in process -- even with confirmed long standing reservations was unnecessarily long and involved. The coffee pods are acidic and with me all day. Easy walk to train station and plenty of places to eat nearby and easy walk across bridges to Old Town. Get a good room in front high up and you may be happy. What was on that carpet????
