Still following COVID guidelines we were able to do everything remotely as far as payment & picked up keys there onsite. We stored our house for a month while we transitioned from out of state back to our home town and to a new rental home. The unit was clean, the gentleman I talked to was super kind and easy to communicate with. If/when we get a house of our own, we will definitely consider them again for our transition and storage needs.

They do not honor their word: Two weeks prior to the last day of billing I spoke with them about moving out since I had moved and didn't need my storage. She said I had to fill out paperwork or something, didn't mention the lock and such. Then she called me the day before the last day to tell me I wouldn't be cancelled because I needed to come back and do my lock and remove a bike in there. Due to work, I needed an evening to come back since I now live 50 miles away. The person agreed for my arrival on Tuesday evening on a Monday and then they sent me a Past Due late notice for the very thing we agreed on that Tuesday. The management on property is terrible and unprofessional: The lady did not keep her word! Bad business ethics. Worse than this is the fact that they are consistently not at the property when their posted hours are. Not sure if the owner knows that or not, but it was sometimes hard to get a hold of them or get help from them onsite. She brings her kids to work with her in the summer too, which I get sometimes, but not the whole summer basically last year. The experience was terrible: Overall, I had a terrible experience with people who over-charge, didn't keep their word or provide decent service. It sucked. The units are good, but not worth the risk of management that don't care and don't have enough cameras to make up for it: Trust me, call anyone but them in Midlothian and you will be better off. Don't let the property fool you, it is nice but the person running it over there is not going to be helpful to you.

We have been storing our items here for about a year and a half now with no trouble. The people who…read morerun the office are great and the place is extremely secure, which is why we chose this location. Last weekend, we had record flooding, which flooded most, if not all the units. We signed up with their insurance when we first started our rental unit. Access Self Storage sent over our information and I filed the furniture we were claiming damaged. Come to find out, their insurance they offer does not cover flooding. We were not told that when we signed up for it. Needless to say, we will be looking for another unit to store our things. I'm sure many other people will too. I'm not risking their drainage system again while I'm paying insurance and they aren't even taking care of their current tenants. It's a waste of my time and my money.
