Just full of a few dried up pieces of chicken, shredded cabbage and lots of rice. It was a very DRY bunch of goop!! When you call (979)-238-6390 you are told to go to www.bucees.com. You go to that website to complain, enter your info but there is no place to submit your entry. You cannot complain but have to drive 50+ miles back to the store to show them their product. So you are stuck with a $9.49 piece of dried up crap!

The best way I can describe Buc-ee's is that it's a gas station on steroids--or maybe the Costco, Sam's Club, or BJ's Wholesale Club of gas stations. It has just about everything, including some amazing-looking BBQ that everyone raves about. It definitely exceeded our expectations! We didn't try the food this time because, honestly, we just weren't hungry. I'm almost ashamed to admit I forgot to take photos. I was so overwhelmed trying to take everything in that I completely forgot. There was just so much to see! We did fill up with gas and went through the car wash, though. I have to say, it was one of the best car washes I've ever been through. We'll definitely be stopping at Buc-ee's again on our next road trip--and next time, I'm trying the BBQ!

I obviously had a different experience than others or something has really changed. Personally,…read moreI'm always happy when a rest area comes up when I need it or someone traveling with me needs it. No rest area is perfect. The cleaning and/or maintenance staff has a thankless job. As soon as the staff cleans it, or even while they are cleaning it, people just make a mess. Plus, no one can be there 24/7. People should really take better care and mind what they do...and be mindful of what they leave behind for staff "to do" because they didn't care, didn't pick up or clean up after themselves, were lazy, or just nasty. That said, sure...there were a few pieces of paper on the floor, and someone dropped a tissue, but it's not reason enough to call the place filthy. The important part is the facilities themselves were clean and stocked with toilet paper and soap. Isn't that what really matters? Moreover, the entry area was clean and tidy and the picnic area looked well-maintained. There is a family restroom located in front for your convenience if needed. The snack/vending area seems ample as well. Of course, there is plenty of parking, truck parking, and a pet relief area. If I have an issue with anything it is the quirky way you enter into this particular rest area...the road pattern is just strange. Please be advised, there aren't any tourist brochures at this location. This is basically a no-frills rest area and all business (if you know what I mean). At the end of the day, shouldn't we all be happy it's here? After all, sometimes nature calls when we least expect it!

Unlike it's partner across I-4, this particular rest area is very poor…read more The facilities are standard, but the water pressure is extremely low so don't expect to actually wash your hands. The vending machines work. Litter is picked up. What is really concerning is that the surrounding area has been under construction for quite a while now. When you first pull in, you cannot park on the "safe" side away from the interstate, you have to drive all the way around and park on the side where everything is torn up. You have to be very careful because there are very few to no safety barriers up in some areas and in bad weather, you could end up in a very deep ditch.

I stopped in during an extremely busy time of the day but still managed to find a parking space within a reasonable distance from the front entrance. The interior was chaotic, it's seems everyone in Florida decided to have lunch here at the same time - well to say the least it was busy and a bit in disarray. I decided to headed to the Wendy's counter where I was met by Natasha and a big smile she took my order then my money and kept me company while my sandwiches were being prepared. After a little more than a few minutes my bounty arrived hot and fresh - my double cheeseburger was still hot and so delicious, this may have been the best Wendy's sandwich I've ever had bar none, even taking into consideration I was famished this Turkey Lake Service Plaza Wendy's Burger was just what I needed - I think Dave Thomas is probably looking down smiling and his infamous daughter Melinda Lou "Wendy" Thomas-Morse is still breaking the bank. The Turkey Lake rest stop has both north and south bound entrances. It is named after nearby Turkey lake which contains Bill Frederick Park. Food options here include vending machines, Dunkin Donuts, KFC, Nathans, Nature's Table, Villa Pizza, and Wendy's. There is the typical Sunshine market where you can pick up your sundries. Of course there are restrooms which is why you likely stopped as well as a picnic area. You can stock up on your tourist brochures which every kid likes to do in anticipation of fun destinations on a road trip. There is also expensive gas to refuel your vehicle. Normally I prefer a turnpike rest area to the ones on I-95. The reason for my one star is they don't require masks even though there are recommendations to wear one on the door. How can you not require masks at a place that has people coming through from all parts of Florida? I would like to note that the workers inside are wearing masks. Every day the number of cases of Covid is rising in Florida as is the death rate. It was upsetting to see hardly anyone walking in with a mask. No thanks. I don't want to be standing next to other non mask wearing people in the tight confines of the bathroom. Shame on the transportation authorities for not requiring masks for people entering the building. The more open plans of the I-95 bathroom rest areas is a better bet right now. The only turkeys I saw here today were the selfish non mask wearing people. Let's get it together Florida because it is going to take all of us.

They have about three self-checkout stalls so you can help yourself. Of course, I'm here to charge my EV on my 1000 mile road trip and have found these Pilot Flying J chargers to be very reliable. I like the fact that they are covered in cases of inclement weather. And they're fast!

The employees are nice and courteous and their bathroom facilities are always clean. It's very accessible and easy to enter - just off I-95 and SR524, with commercial trucks having their own pumping stations on the far side of the facility and non commercial vehicles having their pumps on the near side of the facility. I've always found the fuel prices to be competitive with other stations and they offer 3 grades of unleaded (87, 89, and 93), as well as diesel fuel. It's easy pay at the pumps with a card and there is always washer fluid in buckets with a squeegee for windshield cleaning. For all the reasons listed above, this makes for my favorite location to meet up with my riding buddy when we go on our rides. This makes for a great stop for travelers as well as it's approximately 60 miles further north until Daytona (and about 25 miles south to Melbourne). Stop in and check this place out!

Gone are the days of gas gouging on the Turnpike. The price here at the Shell is right on point and the pump area is as clean as can be. There's even an attendant cleaning the pumps and refilling the supplies on a regular basis. Of special note is that the air and water for your tires are FREE! Attached to the Shell is a Nathan's Famous Coney Island restaurant. The rest area itself is separate and is immaculate. There is always someone cleaning the rest rooms and flowers abound. You'll find Wendy's, Dunkin and many other food selections.

I nicely asked "May I have a fork...?" and she rudely handed me one, like she had to do some work or something and I interrupted her. Over all the restroom was clean, so I guess that's a good thing.

This Wawa location is usually busy but not in the obnoxious way. Oddly enough, there is another location really close by lol. We always stopped at this one because it is closest to 95. There is usually plenty of parking outside and you will rarely wait to pump gas. The store and restrooms are usually clean and tidy. The staff are usually pleasant as well.
