This pharmacy is amazing! We've been using Stuart Ellis for over 13 years ever since we moved to…read moreCollingwood. Their service is fabulous, always answer our questions immediately (we have even called from Mexico during winter while we are away with questions and they are always helpful) and ALL the staff are amazing! They get to know you personally which is also nice. I spoke with Pauline this a.m. and she was wonderful. All are great there and they deliver my husband's meds every Wednesday which is also great!

They were unable to put a prescription through OHIP claiming the recipient was in a nursing home (he is not) then claimed it was the government's fault they couldn't get it to work (it was not). They clearly did not know how to submit a simple prescription (this was two of the four working on it) and insisted the client pay in full. Had to give up and pay in full at which time was told, if they resolved it, they would issue a credit. Prescription was a simple cream. Took a very long time for employee #2 to verify this simple order (no counting, not much to do besides look at the box) but they spent a long time verifying. Printed order did not match prescription, they decided not to include specific client instructions and basically just said to 'apply'. Very very incompetent, but the best was yet to come. They later phoned saying they got it through (oh, so it wasn't the govt?!?) and if I wanted the refund, I would have to drive back and they could not do it on the phone. Drove back and got the rudest of them all, Krystal. She attempted to train the newer one, but unfortunately, Krystal had no idea how to do the refund, the floater came to help twice and as soon as she would walk away, Krystal would hit the wrong button and call her back. So told the floater she needed to do it and she complained there is a learning curve and I just need to be patient. So someone who has no clue how to do a refund is trying to train a new employee? Krystal also repeatedly said it was karma and had a very unprofessional and rude manner implying it was my fault overall. I agree with other reviewers that staff is very rude and unprofessional. I even called the owner to let him know about the issue, but no response so I have to assume service is not a priority. Lots of drugstores in Collingwood, and you might want to choose a different one. Any other one.

The store clerks are very cordial and the postal staff are terrific. Apparently, they'll be relocating to the space vacated by Food Basics. I'm looking forward to the expansion. The hand cream that she was using wasn't healing a thing. I found one brand that seemed promising while doing some research online. The site said that it was available at this particular Shoppers Drug Mart. The store was conveniently on my way home from work. Then again, I cut across most of the GTA, so I pass by a ton of stores! This store is in a plaza. There seemed to be a Food Basics or some green-painted grocery store that has closed down. Shoppers Drug Mart is in the corner further down. The parking area can be a bit chaotic. It's an older plaza and the lanes are more narrow than what I'm used to in suburbia. This store has been here for a while. It has everything that you'd expect it to have, including a grocery aisle. I walked every aisle and could not find the hand cream that I was looking for, which was disappointing. However, there was a Gold Bond one that was on sale. It has been approved by the Canadian Diabetes Society. It has proven results. It was also on sale. I bought it! I dropped the cream off at my parents' place. My mom said that she would try the hand cream out immediately. This morning, I spoke to my mom. She said that three hours later, she noticed a huge difference. She no longer has cracked hands. Nice! She asked me whether she could pay me back. Hearing her say that this product works is all that I wanted. The lone cashier at this store was friendly and made sure that each customer was okay. She helped out a senior ahead of me. I liked the care that she showed and the help that she gave. I'd come back here again when I'm in the area. (157)
