While in South Africa two years after apartheid fell I purchased a traditional Zulu weapon called an Iwisa. It's one of the famous weapons the Zulu's used to defeat the British during the infamous Anglo-Zulu Wars. After graduating MDCC I went on an quest to Southern India seeking rare Sanskrit manuscripts that elucidated the mystery's of life and meditation. While there I purchased a magnificent metal sculpture of Nataraja (the dancing Shiva/Rudra) near Mahabalipuram. I've always been fond of lightning and thunder god's like Rudra, Thor and Baal Adad. Which brings me to Dita, typically I have tunnel vision when I'm in the Yellow Green farmers market and I usually don't notice anything but exactly what I'm looking for. I was warmly greeted by the receptionist who told me to sign their service form and have a seat for the next available stylist. While waiting, I looked around and was impressed on how clean and organized the salon was. I also learned that the salon offers facials, Bollywood-style threading, waxing, make-up, Henna tattoo, nails, and hair. The stylist, named Syeda, was ready for me and in less than ten minutes, she skillfully shaped my eyebrows the way I wanted them with precise control. Experienced slight pinching, but I was used to it from past experience with waxing. When she was done, she asked me if I wanted another area of my face to be done or if I wanted to try one of their facials. I had to politely refuse due to limited time. I paid $12 for the service and vowed to come back for their facial and to get my eyebrows reshaped. I was very satisfied with the service.
