She's very knowledgable having been schooled in beauty in both China and the US. She brings techniques to the table that others don't use, and is very quick. She is the owner of the salon and her prices are very reasonable which is a key factor in why I continue to come here. The salon itself could use some sprucing up, it's generic and has alot of unused space. It'd like to see some decor or something done to elevate it a bit. What falls short for me is that Li is so fast that the experience feels rushed and not relaxed. Also because she moves so fast she sometimes wacks me in the head with the blow dryer and splashes water on my face at the shampoo bowl. Overall the entire process feels a bit rough. A few times I've left without being styled because "she didn't have time", or left not satisfied with the styling as it lacked volumn and product. I've been trying to get my LAST NAME CHANGED in the Ulta system for the longest time. Every time I called customer service, they told me, "Yes, we changed your name." Okay, cool. Then one day I spoke to another customer service representative and she tells me, **"No, you actually have to go into an Ulta store to have your name changed. Excuse me?! WHY?! Y'all could've definitely saved me a trip around the damn city if somebody had told me that from the beginning. So anyway, I go back into the store, tell the lady I need to change my last name, and she changes it. THAT'S IT. No ID. No paperwork. No security questions. Nothing. She literally just changed it. And I'm standing there like, OMG... SHE CHANGED IT! I get back into the car and tell Hubby, they finally changed my last name! He's like, oh that's cool. Fast forward...I open the Ulta app. No maiden name change. I said, oh my goodness. We gotta go back. I'm already preparing myself for another Ulta adventure, another explanation, another customer service conversation, possibly a congressional hearing at this point. But before I grabbed my purse, I said, let me just log out and log back in. I logged out. Logged back in. And voila my name was updated Anyway, 10/10 for the ladies being nice and helping me with my return AND finally getting my name changed.
