Shortly after, the manicurist with whom I had booked my appointment briefly acknowledged me, saying she would be with me soon. Around 1:10 PM--over 20 minutes past my scheduled time--I was finally escorted to her station. At that point, I mentioned that I had a combination of gel and dip powder on my nails and asked whether that would be an issue. In hindsight, I recognize this is something I should have clarified before booking, and I'll be more mindful of that going forward (not at this salon). The manicurist told me she hadn't brought the tools required to remove dip powder and began discussing the situation with the technician beside her. One of the first things her colleague asked was, "What time is your next appointment?" They then reviewed her schedule on her phone and concluded there wasn't enough time to complete my service--despite the fact that the delay was on their end, and we were already well into my appointment slot. Throughout this exchange, they spoke quietly among themselves rather than directly addressing me. Feeling dismissed and frustrated, I got up and went to the front desk to ensure my card on file wouldn't be charged, as the salon requires credit card information when booking. The receptionist, who appeared visibly irritated, reiterated that there wasn't sufficient time for the service. When I pointed out that my appointment had begun over 20 minutes prior, she curtly replied, "Well, that's because that was the club owner." The implication--that the owner's time was more valuable than that of a paying client--was both baffling and disappointing. The lack of professionalism and communication left me with a deeply negative impression. I sincerely hope this feedback encourages more respectful treatment of all clients, regardless of their status.

I was expecting a cut and nothing more - not what I asked for, not for someone to actually listen, not for input/advice, not for friendly banter, just a simple haircut. I actually received a style I've been longing for, recommendations on bang length, curl/wave/body kept and styled, to make me feel beautiful. Came back again (a few months later) for enhanced grey coloring/touch ups. Cassie combined several grey tones and worked her magic. The next day though, is telling of true magic (the washing of my hair). Two nights later, I washed my hair using my fav Lush product, slept on a wet head, awoke to lush, soft curls and a near to perfect shag.

My almost 80 year old mother went with me just to watch. She has never had a pedicure despite my constant urging. After she saw how well my pedicure went, she too got up in the chair and had her very first pedicure then manicure. The polish lasted a long time on both of us, but nearly a month on my mom. My daughter came to this salon and I liked her hair so I made an appt a week and a half in advance to see the same stylist. The salon is located in a strip mall a few miles from my house. When I arrived for my appt a stand prompted me to sanitize my hands before walking further which I appreciated. Any business that takes Covid seriously gets kudos from me. There was some confusion at my arrival as apparently I was booked too close to another appt and was offered another stylist which I declined. I did ask if another stylist could wash my hair in the meantime, simply because as someone with a chaotic schedule I can't afford the time for an unproductive wait. They obliged and said they were going to suggest it and even threw in a $10 deep conditioning treatment "on the house". The wait wasn't as long as expected and my stylist asked me some very important questions in an effort to get to know me and my hair. I liked her immediately and was happy with my results. The cut could use a little more tweaking around the face but overall I'm pleased and will definitely return to her for some other services. I had inquired prior to my visit on how much a wash/cut/style was and was told $23. I do have mid length hair which "might" explain the charge of $32, or they could have charged me for the "on the house treatment". Unfortunately I didn't notice the difference till after I was home and looked at my credit card receipt. It does make me feel a certain type of way and thinking back when prompted for payment I was not told the cost verbally. Going back I will question it, but either way the $10 difference is not unreasonable. I really liked my stylist and will go back to her. I hesitate so early on in our "relationship" to declare her the "one" as many factors will go into that. Several reasons prevented me from giving the salon 4 stairs. It has a rather sterile and generic feeling and at least one of the stylists seemed less than professional. It could have been just a personality difference as I found her too boisterous and thus annoying. It wasn't that she did anything to me personally but her voice was extremely loud, she was chatty, and her appearance was less than professional. The scheduling conflict was another factor. Had I been forced to wait w/out being washed, after I scheduled an appt so long in advance I probably wouldn't have stayed. Also the price difference as outlined above. I do kudos to their strict Covid policy (hand sanitizing, no handling of cash, masks required, and wiping down chairs between customers), as well as my stylists attention to me and my hair goals. Things to know: you can only wait outside if not being worked on, also there's a small fee to adding the tip on a credit card.

Kellie was the lead on hair and did my trial with me and my hair on the day. She was so laid back, just like I can be, and I felt like I clicked with her personality instantly. She also had loads of experience working with thick hair, so I knew I was in good hands with my mane. She was very responsive to the inspirational pictures I brought in, including playing around with a hairpiece that I wanted to add to my hairstyle. Aubrey, who did my makeup trial and my makeup on the day, was also incredibly attentive to the pictures I brought to her, ensuring my makeup would be simple and toned down since I'm not someone who wears a lot of makeup daily. On my wedding day, they all arrived with such excitement and support! I honestly still think about all the lovely conversations we had as we were all getting ready that morning. I did not have a bridal party, so it was just myself, my mom, my future mother-in-law, and my sister who were getting hair and makeup. They had all provided inspo pictures as well, which were all executed with such care and detail. Not only did the team make these important women in my life feel beautiful on the outside, but they were such a great support in reminding them to feel beautiful on the inside as well. And we honestly all still looked SO good, even when it was midnight at the hotel after-party! She sat me at a dirty booth. Wiped the nail scraps right onto my lap, then slapped my hand!! I started crying. My daughters saw and called the police. They both lied and nothing was done. One of her employees from Laos called me to tell me she saw it and apologized to me. I've never gotten my nails done since. It triggers me thinking about what she did to me for no reason.
