First Community Bank really does put the community first…read more These guys are so kind, so nice. They really did help out the community following Hurricane Harvey! After the storm, the city of Rockport was without power for a few weeks. They were one of the first businesses to get out there and help the community. As we were digging out from the storm, without water, cell service, or electricity, First Community Bank set up in the parking lot, offering up ice water, sausage wraps, bags of chips and fruit to anyone who needed help. They gave me plenty to eat and offered me a patch of shade to sit and get out of the sun. They immediately set up a facility to cash checks- even though they had no electricity. There was a low dollar limit on the checks, but it really helped out people who were needing to collect their paycheck in the aftermath of the storm. The tellers and bank managers are all extremely friendly and helpful. The bank also has beautiful oleander bushes out front of the building, which makes the place look nice. I really am thankful for all the help that First Community offers when it really counts!

They have very competitive rates, and do a lot of business locally. They serve the military community, and really know what they're doing. They help with all of the demands that the military puts on a family, and do it with a smile! They know all the military lingo, so if you're PCSing to a new FOB, they have the right APR for your CD. ;) The bank is always well lit, and in a great location. The parking is easy, and the place is always clean and picked up. My favorite bank!

To heck with these guys. This ugly-looking bank is all…read morebrick, looking like a hulking relic from the 50's. The banking services here are lacking. They do offer checking, savings, home loans, etc. But after the scandals where they fraudulently opened bank accounts for thousands or millions of customers, forging their signatures, running their credit through the mud, charging them fees, while forcing them out of class action lawsuits and into binding mandatory arbitration- these guys seem like a bunch of crooks. I can't believe that nobody has gone to jail for defrauding their customers, their investors and the general public. I hope to see the executives of this company prosecuted. Their priority is opening accounts, and making the numbers look good for Wall Street, while not giving a care about the well-being of their customers. In fact, they're just taking advantage of them. This location doesn't have an ATM machine, even though there's plenty of room for one. But, it does have several drive-thru lanes, most of which are always closed. There's inadequate parking for the building size. I don't trust these guys after their bad behavior, and won't be giving them any of my business again.

Brand new community credit union location! This place is…read morenice! There's a drive-thru and they have plenty of tellers and the whole place looks new and fresh! I love their landscaping, the palm trees look fantastic! It's not as nice as the Rockport location. That one has the friendliest tellers, and the nicest location that's just so convenient. But when I run into Aransas Pass, this location will do. They have good rates on their banking products and they offer a wide range of loans and savings and checking accounts, tailored for the military family. This really is community banking. You keep coming back, and they learn your name. They really go for service, and really try to make you feel like you're not just some account number, you're a valued customer. I really appreciate what they're doing here, and think this is a great member of the community- they chip in on local high school sports teams and yearbooks and the like.
