Beauty, wonderful breakfast buffet, top-notch service, and an absolute delight to return to after walking around in the unusual heat and humidity all of western Europe seems to be experiencing at present...as this hotel has true air-CONDITIONING, not just air-CONTROLLED like most of Europe. (Air-controlled is anything "less than the outside temperature.) Top quality throughout, including beautiful floral arrangements everywhere, gorgeous marble bathrooms, top quality food, helpful and concerned staff (making sure your stay with them met our expectations!), and LARGE guest rooms, many with views of Lake Geneva...as it is directly across a narrow street from the lake! I went for a long walk around the lake at night and in the morning it was a quick walk to coffee if you want to get out of the hotel/ Really nothing to complain about as far as the hotel itself. Chocolate in the room upon arrival. Decent bed. Most importantly, air conditioning that worked on a very hot summer day. I would stay the Ritz Carlton I walked by nearby next time but it was okay enough. They weren't super nice at check in when I told them that no, I was paying for the room and it should have been in my name. Pretty sure he rolled his eyes at me, even if not intentional. They also could not give change at the desk for USD/CHF, which is pretty standard at hotels in Europe. Aside from that and being less than impressed with how small the room was, even for EU, it was good enough but not anymore than 3 stars for me.

A ticket machine accept a credit card. If you don't have a time to buy a ticket, a machine is also inside a bus. After arriving at the airport around 11pm, I was exhausted. Check in was smooth and a staff mentioned that a hotel restaurant is open until 1:30am, which was nice as I didn't think we can get access to food until next morning. Fairly new hotel it seems, inside was very clean. We were there for about 7 hours and didn't want anything fancy. This was a perfect overnight hotel.

I came with a group of 6 and we were seated at a rectangular table. Luckily one of our companions spoke and read Italian and helped us translate the menu (which is only offered in Italian). We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees which were all superb. I tried the Americana pasta dish, octopus salad, antipasto, fish, etc etc. all delicious! I think the best part was the never ending desserts.. The waiters come around with a cart and you choose which dessert you want off the cart. I got the candied pear. Some people got the tiramisu (which was a bit soggy that day). They also serve you fruits. I mean BOWLS of fruits. Whatever is available they just give you the whole bowl and you take as much as you want. We had grapes, lychee, oranges, etc. after you finish that they come and give you BOWLS and JARS of candy. They just dump it right on your table. The waiter was kind enough to give us take away bags so we could save some candy for later. During the whole 3 hour meal, the big Chef himself, Chef Valentino, would come around and greet his guests. He came out about 3x which was cool!
