We were going to use the estate planning forms on-line but one of my professional CPA friends indicated that we should use an attorney to make sure it is done right and the way we have intended in order to protect our children. These on-line forms are a "one size fits all" and may not be what I truly want. So, I followed his advice and turned to Marguerite to help us (me) through it. She was very understanding, patient, compassionate, extremely professional and had no problem answering any question that I had when going over all the paperwork. And believe me, I had questions. She didn't even mind listening to all the stories I had to explain my decisions. (As my husband would say, "I have a story for everything."). Marguerite indicated that experience is a powerful tool in helping us make certain decisions. (Thank you for telling us that because it put me at ease when explaining). Now that this is done, we have the peace of mind knowing that it is done right and we don't have to worry about our children when this time comes. From the time the PCRA was initiated until now, I only had three interactions with Mr. Quigg. He often scheduled phone calls but never followed through. In 2023, the judge ordered Matthew to explain his delay in amending my PCRA or filing a Finley letter. Just two days before his court appearance, Mr. Quigg contacted me with apologies, admitting my case had "slipped through the cracks." I later emailed him after missing his court appearance to inquire about the case's outcome, but received no response. To my surprise, he filed a motion to withdraw, even though he hadn't heard the full details of my case. I asked if he had my trial transcripts to assess my PCRA claims, but, as expected, received no response. I cannot vouch for the other attorneys at this law firm, but I strongly advise against working with Matthew Quigg.
