Worse parking arrangements for any of those stores. The owner is a great friendly guy who takes pride in his food and his customers. His wife & children whom all work there are polite as well. The other staff he has hired are great as well. Only had 1 bad experience in the past which I know was rectified. Also they have had in the past had a promotion through Groupon were you paid $10 for $20 towards food. So always keep a lookout for that. The staff member (Khushbu P.) served my 7-year-old daughter such a tiny, underwhelming scoop in a flimsy clear cup, barely filled. Despite the joy on her face, the portion was so small it felt insulting. My brother and I got waffle cones, and again, the scoops didn't even rise above the rim. Worst part? My cone had glue residue on the bottom that started leaking once the wrapper came off. We sat and ate while watching others receive slightly better service. No consistency. My daughter finished quickly and said, "Write them a review that says: You suck." That says it all from a child expecting a simple, happy ice cream outing. The place claims to use Kawartha Dairy, but their presentation, promotions, and even images seem pulled from other businesses. Service feels like they're trying to cut corners while looking polished. Sadly, even the $2 deal didn't feel worth it. A smile and a properly filled scoop go a long way, especially when serving kids. Even places like DQ and Baskin-Robbins go the extra mile with little touches to make a child feel special. Not here. If you want better service and proper value, look elsewhere. The pricing is pretty stiff here where if you get a cone with no toppings it's not far from the blizzard pricing. Blizzards is the same but bigger with some air and toppings mixed. One of the biggest struggle I had in this location was no pricing on the overhead signage -but there was calorie counts. My senior mother had a lot of struggles just deciding because the signage is small in text with no price that she just gives up and expects me to order for her- I wish the location was just more accessible to seniors. The table option is good for the size, but the tables were not regularly cleaned. While I waited I saw a pile of different coloured non dairy decorating icing- but these products should be refrigerated not left out in the open- so some food handling issues here. Lots of patrons during the lunch hour. I can see the owner responding to peoples reviews I guess for damage control- but more needs to be done at this location, just seeing the non dairy decorating icing not refrigerated does prevent it from separating and spoiling and because you sell ready made food- it does put people's health at risk.
