It was a beautiful sunny day, and I had to visit a client down the road so admittedly I just wanted some change for the parking machine. I wandered around for a bit wondering what to by that would give me a good return on the 'change for a tenner' front and opted for some generic organic smoothie thing. When I asked the till lady for my change in pound coins she sighed, gave me a right nasty look and reluctantly counted out the change, one coin at a time. Even though I was super polite and friendly and cheery and all 'I'm sorry to be a pain, thank you very much please thank you'. Ah well. Other than that, the shop was well stocked, the car park offered up to 2 hours free parking (not enough for me) for customers, and it was bright and nice enough.

Another brilliant thing about this Waitrose is its proximity to a really good Sainsburys and M&S food so you can cover all bases. The staff are friendly and helpful and I still see the same faces after years. The car park is outdoors which suits me down to the ground... nothing worse than fitting into the tiniest underground/multi-storey car park and then realising you'll have tonnes of groceries on your return and that won't be able to fully open doors because there's two inches between your car and the wall. Waitrose also support local charities and local self funded groups which is a nice touch.

They also have an in-store bakery, butcher and delicatessen. They even sell homeware, electrical goods, CDs and DVDs at really good prices. The store layout is easy for me to navigate myself around and it is spacious too. The staff are actually really helpful and polite and the customer service is great. If you ever need to return something, there is never any problem. I actually enjoy doing my weekly shop at this branch of Sainsburys!

Extremely poor treatment of young customers. I have been shopping in this store for over 10 years…read morewith family etc, and over the past few years I have noticed most times I'm in the store I am being followed around by the security guard (as described earlier). However one experience has really thrown my family's interpretation of Morrisons off completely, and this experience involved another staff member as well as the security guard. Me and my friends were casually browsing an isle to when I noticed the lady staff member as described earlier was trying to intimidate me and my friends to leave the store with her arms folded alongside a partially aggressive facial expression which she held for more than a minute as we looked in discomfort. I would like to add that no suspicious behaviour was going on between me and my friends during this whole time (for reference we are all sixth form students in further education) who were NOT looking for trouble but instead browsing the store. I asked the lady worker if she was okay in a formal manner to which she began to give extreme attitude to the point where it felt as if she was moaning at us for the sake of it. Her clarification to why she was trying to intimidate us was completely ignored, as she believed she was not doing so....however I am 1000% sure if you checked security footage you would find she was. To no surprise the security guard who I described earlier makes his way over completely unaware of the situation, to which he then immediately sided with the employee under the impression we were causing no good. During the entire interaction I stayed in a professional manner with no poor treatment of staff or bad language used however on the other hand the security and employee continued to stay aggressive and intimidating with their behaviour severly lacking good interpersonal skills and shutting down all allegations that they or (she the worker to begin) was in the wrong. Threats such as calling the police on me and my friends were also made, with no reason to why. And I can confidently say that in an overall summary the way in which they handled the entire situation was childish and unprofessional. I repeat no antisocial behaviour was carried out by me and my friends. Both of my friends stayed quiet the entire time whilst I spoke up about how I thought. A compliant has already been made by my father as he knows for himself that the security are over the top with LOYAL customers, however this complaint has clearly not been taken into account. Do better, whether that's more on the job or off the job training these situations make customers feel uncomfortable and it's time someone spoke out. Now aside from this...Morrisons have some nice and friendly younger employees who have obviously had successful training. with this being said some employees particularly those who are older or have more experience in the store, need newer training etc.

unfortunatly i had a weir experience today at morrisons loughton, the cashier didnt find a barcode…read moreon the item so he said " i cannot scan it" at my request find the manager do something.. he. replied " we have two managers i dont know where they are" and was just looking at me - the customer. so ive decided to try and help him since he is so lost, just asked the staff from selfcheckout to call the manager and surprise for me was that this boy was telling me where to go to the over end of the shop and try to find there the manager.. amazing how the staff is sending the customer go and find the manager bcs we dont know where he is and we dont know how to call him/or maybe its bcs they forgot they have to be helpfull ?? more dissapointing to me is that the cashier has no way out if the item has no barcode... so if there is a struggle at the cashier what the customer doesnt matter?? Now at the end of all of this the manager came which was a young girl who had no interest in providing little customer service at least little .. her first question is " where did you get this item?" how the manager doent know what items the shop sells???? is it her first day? so all of this could be avoided as well as maybe a small teminder to this staff members -- they are suppose to help

We have shopped happily at this store for quite a few years, but from Nov 12th 2018, when the new parking rules start we will have to go elsewhere. 90 minutes maximum for a full weeks shopping, spending maybe £90/£100 each time is not conducive to a happy experience under such a limit....certainly no time to use the restaurant for a coffee break. The changes we are told is because people are using the car park who are not shopping in the store....so Waitrose are penalizing its regular weekly shoppers who cannot conform to a 90 minute limit.....don't you want our £90/£100 per week....you need to rethink such a silly idea.

There are quite a few cashiers and tills which are all being used - also a new self-checkout area that is good for small purchases though this can take longer than normal tills. A new dvd rental is good and easy to use though I haven't seen many people make use of it - so it may go soon. Overall, competitive prices but large queues, if you're gonna buy a sandwich go to greggs which is practically next door.

They do alot of discontinued stock so thats a great bonus when your doing your regular shopping plus they do alot of discontinued brands. The staff are quite friendly and polite and its not a busy shop either so queues are not very long. They sell cds,flowers, cigarettes and groceries plus kosher food. Its one of two supermarkets on greenstreet the other one is icelands. Its fast and convenient its two minutes walk from upton park station
