Thankfully Iceland have finally got shot of the horrific TV ads featuring Kerry Katona, and therefore I have eventually plucked up the courage to visit one of their stores. And it's actually quite good!
This little Iceland shop is next to the bus station and the main pay & display car park in the town, so quite handy.
As the name suggests, it's mainly a frozen food shop but they also sell a lot of non-frozen things too - milk, cheese, bread, tins, drinks, biscuitsyou name it, they've probably got it. It's all generally cheaper than in the main supermarkets, and especially the frozen stuff where there are often good offers on items and multi-buys.
One advantage of Iceland is that they offer free home delivery if you spend over £25. I've never used this as I always have the car with me, but if you're travelling by bus or perhaps would struggle with heavy bags for any reason, then this is a great service. read more
