I have previously eaten ready made food from the hotbox and some sushi and definitely wouldn't have rated this place but we doordashed some fresh made food off the menu - Mongolian beef w hokkien and black pepper beef fried rice and they were both 10/10. We have been to Ichi Maki a few times now and each time is disappointing. There is never any sushi made up if you go for dinner. You just get the left overs from that day and even then its sub standard. The bento box isn't what you would call a bento box. Usually no salad, rice tastes funny or dry, the sauce is too sweet. Who puts fried scallops in a bento box. I did have a nice soup once. If you want good sushi you'll have to go to Rockhampton. Come on Gladstone Cant we do better. read more

Had the beef teppanyaki with rice. Looked like alot of food, most of it was rice. Still a good portion. Nice meal.
