I was pretty amazed with the entire staff of Icon Mortgage Lending. Matt was always available to talk to me any time I was feeling nervous out about my purchase- which was a lot. And then the one time he wasn't available, I was able to talk to the processor directly and she was wonderful as well. It seems like, you can really tell the difference between a good local company like this and dealing with a big bank. I would definitely recommend trying them over any bank or online mortgage company. It really meant something to my wife and I to have someone face to face and 1-on-1 to deal with. We originally went through first place bank but our offers weren't getting accepted on homes and the guy there always seemed like we were bothering him when we called. Eventually I just said- if the bank doesn't want my business, I won't give it to them. Thank goodness I did! I almost gave up because I had just had such a terrible time with the first two mortgage companies.
