However, in 2012 I got letter from the IRS stating there was a problem with my tax return. MCLR assured me that there was a mistake and they would take care of it. After several years of nothing happening besides threats of having my bank accounts frozen, I called the IRS myself only to find out that some information they requested was not submitted by MCLR and that my case had been formally closed almost 2 years ago because of this. I was never informed by MCLR that they had dropped my case! I ended up paying not only the $5000. but much more in Failure To Pay penalties and interest!! Thanks for nothing MCLR!!

Got our taxes done by Charles and he gets 2 thumbs down. We had our taxes done…read more Feb 10th and Charles messed them up. We tried to get a hold of him several times with no response. Here we are in May and taxes are still messed up and he hasn't responded to any calls or messages. Currently my husband is at the front door to Freedom Tax to get a response and the door is locked with no one there. If you want a professional experience when it comes to taxes DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. You have been warned.

Thank God him and his family are ok. I am a very happy customers and know of many people that are. Pretty good accountant with reasonable rates…read more While I don't particularly love the location- the office is in the funky Grand Mall in Grand Blanc- the important things here with an accountant are competency, trustworthiness and decent rates. I'm pleased (so far) with his services. He's done a good job on our taxes now for two years straight after I found him through a recommendation after I bailed on my longtime CPA in Flushing because they fouled up a tax return. Mr. Kubik managed to undo the damage done by my former CPA, and didn't charge me more for the snafu. While the cost of different tax returns will vary, our taxes cost about $150- not too bad.
