Went to take a professional certification exam here and…read morehonestly the whole experience with this Pearson Professional Center was smooth from scheduling to exam day. Very detailed email information with directions to get here and find the building (not difficult), parking, and what to bring for the exam and what to expect. A couple emailed reminders prior to exam day as well. On exam day, I arrived 30min early (per their suggestion). I was checked in right away. It did not take nearly 30min but I was able to start my appointment slot early instead of needing to wait. Staff were friendly and professional. Easy to use lockers for securing personal belongings. In 2024, staff is still masking (testers were not). Signs at my individual testing station indicated it had been cleaned and sanitized for my use. Multiple testers taking different exams shared a room, but individual stations. They provided noise cancelling headphones if needed (I didn't use). The chair wasn't super comfortable (or potentially I just didn't adjust it to fit me better), but also not bad. Back is maybe a little sore today after a 4 hour test. I did get a little confused about the scheduled breaks for my exam. It wasn't a part of the detail shared ahead of time and I wasn't sure (couldn't remember when we got to them) if I was supposed to wait for someone to come to my station to walk me out or if I just got up and walked over myself. Didn't have a great way of telling the amount of time remaining in a break also so I didn't take full advantage.

I told them the membership was going to be paid for by my sister, who also has a degree from the U of M. They said I needed to cancel my existing membership first and then have my sister call them after that and pay for my new membership. They sent me emails this morning confirming that my sister had received a lifetime membership. You can't rely on these people to do anything right the first time. If you really don't need alumni association membership services for anything specific I would pass on it. Again, it really isn't worth the money.

We bought math workbooks and a subscription to IXL to use during the summer. However, it became clear that having regular sessions and attention from a tutor was needed. Having me, her parent, as her tutor was . . . challenging for us both. Mathnasium seemed like something to try next. After the initial skills assessment, we decided to sign her up for the summer sessions. After a few sessions, it became clear that she was loving it. She enthusiastically attended each session this summer (20 one-hour sessions!), had a great time with the tutors, and learned quite a bit. She just completed her school's math placement assessment for the next school year. She definitely caught up on the missed instruction and then some! She is looking forward to continuing at Mathnasium this school year! Thank you!!

The Creature Conservancy is pretty awesome! I pass by it all the time but finally had a chance to…read morevisit during open hours on a Sunday. It was pretty delightful & the staff were super friendly and interacting with the animals. The CC was started 20 years ago with Al the Alligator! He was dropped off at the Vet clinic and they started CC all around him. Pretty awesome. It's not a massive space so it was perfect to get there at 3:30pm - in time for the 4pm show which is followed by an Al the Alligator feeding! We checked out all the habitats on the outside as well. Super cool experience - I'd love to come back for one of their turtle yoga, 18+ paint nights, etc. They always have pretty cool themed programming. Also follow their social media - they post the best content!
