Directly across the border from Oregon into Idaho, this isn't much more than a parking lot along the highway. There was a truck parked here idling and so I decided to give it a shot. There are no services but I'm self contained in the van. Once the sun set, the stars came out and my night vision settled in, it was amazing. So very quiet out here and with absolutely no light pollution, I could see millions and millions of stars. Other than some noise of a truck or two in the night passing by, there was no noise. There might have been a police patrol, but I was sound asleep. And because it's Idaho, I was able to take my firearm out of its locked box and have it nearby just in case.
