I was referred to Tony by Alloway Lighting and talked with him over the phone about my mom's brass floor lamp, which she has owned for about 50 years. A bulb had burned out and broke off in the socket, and in trying to get it out, we damaged the socket. Not only that, the cord that ran up under the stand into the extendable brass rod was stuck like cement inside the rod and couldn't be pulled out either end. The rod has a 90 degree bend it in and Tony explained that most likely the cord had been twisted and twisted over the years causing it to knot up inside, and said it might be a bit difficult to get it out and thread a new cord but asked me to drop it off. By that afternoon, he called to let me know he had replaced the cord and the socket and put it all back together again. The next day I called Tony to say my mom's candelabra hanging lamp also had a broken off bulb and asked him if I tried to fix it myself, should I turn off the electricity in the house, or is it something he could do for me. He said he was going to be out and about and he could do a house call. I met him at my mother's house, and within 15 minutes he had the lamp fixed. I had gone to run an errand and when I got back, Tony and my mom were sitting chatting about her recent move to Boise, her former home in Sun Valley, the antique shows in that area that Tony participates in, and his passion for collecting historical memorabilia. It was friendly and delightful, and he even talked to mom's dog! I would refer him without hesitation.

My wedding ring, which was a custom ring, lost one of the diamonds (fortunately I found it), and it turned out the tips needed to be repaired. I assume that's why it didn't hold that diamond in place. Not only did they do a fantastic job on the repair, but cleaned it until it shined like it did decades ago! At the time, they told me that my other ring would eventually need the tips done, too, as they wear over time. I put it off over a year, but last year, decided to get it done, and I'm glad I did. Now, my rings are both in good shape, and I don't have to worry about losing a diamond again! The staff was very friendly, and answered all of my questions. They will definitely be my jeweler of choice in the future. I highly recommend them.

After the person Todd let work under his license refused to help us with our system not doing its job all winter, Todd did send us a bigger fan to add to our system. But sadly, that didn't resolve the problem. After multiple attempts to reach Todd over a span of weeks... his solution was to ghost us and not return our calls or try and help remedy this situation. I had never brought my ring in to have the prongs tightened in the 7 years i've had it, and I knew it had to be done. the owner, I don't remember his name, was kind of shy, quiet. looked it over and told me it had a lot of work to be done on it. He said it would take a couple weeks and here's my ticket number to keep. he gave me a slip of paper. That was it. weeks went by, and no word. finally, after a month, I called. a woman answered the phone and said that he had gotten covid and then was sick with something else and hadn't been able to work on jewelry in a while. why was I not informed of this? you've had my engagement ring over a month and I just don't hear from you? anyway, she said he would call me back. never did. another few days went by and I decided I was just going in. I was tired of waiting and I wanted my ring back even if it wasn't done. I walked in and he wasn't there but the girl was. she said it was "just done" and she was "going to call me today". gee, thanks. I still paid the quoted price. no discount whatsoever for waiting over a month to repair my ring. and the worst part is he reshaped it (it had a little kink in the band) which I didn't ask for, and now it's tighter than it was on me before. also, one of the diamond chips he replaced that had fallen out has a flaw- a black spot in it that I can't stop staring at. I'm not bringing it back in there to have it fixed again and waiting another month. i'm good. I won't be bringing my jewelry back here.
