He was totally prepared for Kindergarten and is even ahead. All the work he is coming home with is stuff he has been doing for the past year. Instead they let him cry the whole time he was there, and out of two weeks of going they only picked him up once. I watched on the camera app (which is very grainy and has no sound) and the teachers would literally just ignore him. There's no cameras outside and I had enough of this place when I surprise picked him up and he was sitting outside in the heat next to the door scream crying and no one was paying him any attention. They said he had been crying the whole time. I literally can't believe it. Pick him up! Nurture him! Help him feel safe! Instead they took away his stuffed animal puppy and just let him cry. Sending my 18 month old boy to this place is my biggest regret as a parent so far.

I truly can't say enough how you should not leave your kids here. I was new to the SA area and…read morevisited this school because it had an opening and usually all the schools have wait lists. When we took my son it only lasted a few weeks. Every time I would pick him up he'd be filthy. Nose messy, lunch was all over his shirt, and just dirty! He was constantly sick which made me notice how everything truly wasn't clean. My son was only 12 months old and had a really hard time transitioning. I would do pop in visits to see that my son was really struggling. One day he stopped sleeping in his crib at home (he's been in his crib sorry free since month 3) I decided to investigate. I did a walk in one day and noticed they had been putting my son in a crib to just cry for about 2 hours since they have a full class of toddlers. They told me he was "napping" but he was clearly upset with snot and tears running down his face. There was no blankets or anything in the crib, just a cold plastic crib mattress. I spoke with the director about this problem and she said she would call me if he was having a bad day so that he wouldn't be crying for hours a day. Well the very next day I pick him up and they told me he'd been crying for 8 full hours AND NO ONE CALLED. I immediately withdrew care. It breaks my heart that they can treat these little babies like this. If you're reading this you should really think about finding a new place that truly cares for kids.

To start the owners are horrible, when the owners do not care about what happens in their childcare…read morefacilities, it shows in the entire building. I spoke with the owner this morning about being kicked out of the school for reporting licensing on the Director and the teachers in the infant room due to a child being left alone for 30 minutes unattended, and they never reported it to the licensing. it is extremely upsetting and frankly very sad that the owner said that he has nothing to do with anything pertaining his school and that it was up to the Director to handle the business that needed to be handled within the school. I have spoke with the Director several times about her staff, leaving children alone and unattended, especially the infants. It is very scary knowing that the girls who left an infant in the classroom by themselves there was no repercussions and they were still able to work there afterwards and handle infants. After reporting we were dismissed from the school without any notice. If you are considering putting your child here, I would like to let you know a few things. Parent teacher staff communication is basically not a thing at this location. The Director is very nonchalant and she will not speak to you when you walk through the door in the mornings. She said she's going to handle situations and never does. Prior to calling licensing yesterday the classrooms were so filthy. There was laundry everywhere, the cribs in the infant rooms are never put together. The sheets are always off the cribs, the babies fall asleep on the floor I picked my six month old niece up yesterday she had dried poop on her(two days in a row), and she was asleep on the floor with milk crusted on the back of her head, and in her hair while the teachers were sitting holding their own infants in the infant room, yes, I said that correctly these mothers who just gave birth to their children work with their babies, and they only attend to their babies. You pick your kid up in a different location every day due to lack of staffing while there's multiple people upfront, laughing and playing around and not helping the teachers in the back several teachers have come to me and complained about the quality and which they have to work in. My main issue was never being removed from the building or having the Director not like me. it's the safety of other people children's that were a major concern for me. Babies were always being put in cribs with bibs, and the teachers were constantly stepping out of the room, leaving multiple babies under the age of six months alone with nobody, and these issues were brought up to the director several times and and it was never handled properly. If you are a parent and you're deciding you want to put your child here please please please reconsider. I know it is hard to find quality right now because they are severely underpaid and they're extremely overworked and I genuinely understand that but leaving children unattended, especially babies is something that I will never stand for and hopefully the owners in the Director and all of the parents at the school eventually wake up and see that it's not always about money, but it is a huge problem that parents pay so much money for their children to be safe all day and they don't even know that their children are being left alone.

Our experience at this facility was a nightmare of financial exploitation, alarming safety negligence, and profound inconsistency. We paid a non-refundable $150 registration fee three months in advance to hold a spot for our two-year-old daughter. After this three-month waitlist, she was permitted to attend for less than six full days (she was dismissed just 2 hours into her sixth day). In total, we paid over $650 for this minimal care, only to be abruptly left without childcare. The billing issues were relentless and unethical. We were unjustly charged an annual curriculum fee of $185. When questioned about this for a child who barely attended, they refused to waive the full amount, reducing it only to $50. This clearly shows their priority is collecting maximum fees, not providing fair service. When trying to work out these discrepancies, we were repeatedly cited 'policy' and told there was nothing they could do. We were instructed to contact Cyndi, the Executive Director. We emailed her and never received a response. Upon following up, the admin staff claimed Cyndi was on vacation and would get back to us, but she never did. The very next communication we received was a collections call demanding an additional $50 for an outstanding tuition balance, specifically for a day our daughter wasn't even able to attend since she'd already been dismissed. This call came with an explicit threat to send the bill to a collection agency and impact our credit. This is egregious. Their stated reason for dismissal was 'safety concerns,' a claim that directly contradicted a conversation we had with our daughter's teacher just the Friday before. The teacher explicitly reassured us that our daughter's behavior was typical for a two-year-old and that she had seen 'worse children eventually thrive.' Our daughter was not even given the opportunity to adjust or grow, despite this assessment. This is especially frustrating given that she thrived for over a year at Children's Lighthouse of Alamo Ranch (same franchise, different owner), with no similar issues or an excessive number of reports. Beyond our personal ordeal and the unfair charges, we observed a critical and alarming safety hazard at the Potranco location: the playground is situated directly adjacent to the parking lot with only a thin fence and absolutely no bollards separating the play area from moving vehicles. I attached pictures of this flimsy barrier, which has already been struck by a vehicle. This deeply concerning lack of protection is eerily similar to the tragic incident at ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool near Fair Oaks Ranch this past January, where a child died due to a comparable setup. While the teachers at CLH Potranco seemed genuinely friendly, it's clear they are visibly overworked. The administrative staff at the front desk consistently appear disengaged and unhelpful, offering no support or solutions regarding our daughter's situation or the egregious billing discrepancies. This facility's readiness to dismiss a toddler for subjective 'safety concerns' while neglecting a glaring, objective safety risk for all children, coupled with their predatory billing practices, refusal to communicate, and passing accounts to collections with credit threats... it's truly beyond frustrating.

Tuition was lower than the previous daycare. The staff always have a smile on their faces and seem excited to be with the kids. Our child has learned a lot, made lots of friends, and always looks forward to school! The only thing I miss from the last daycare is that we received more updates throughout the day, like if my child ate all of her food and if they went potty successfully. The other daycare also had cameras streaming. Lighthouse does but it's paid separately.

Luckily we are so blessed to have found this place. The kids look forward to going to "school" (daycare) every day. The teachers are so awesome especially: *Ms. Mari who has watched our 2 oldest children. Our oldest daughter still looks up to Ms. Mari. and says she wants to grow up to be like her. She thinks the world of her. Ms Mari has looked over and cared for our daughter for 8+ years. The longest I have trusted anyone to watch and care for my children. *Ms. Vivian who spend extra time trying to get our second youngest daughter comfortable going to daycare for the first time. Our daughter would scream and shout on the top of her lungs til Ms. Vivian would pick her up and comfort her. She just has that special touch. *Ms. Sarah who watches our 2 oldest kids in after school care during school year and take them on awesome field trips (Sea World, Fiesta Texas, Pump it Up, the movies, etc) during the summer time. She is a huge help when it comes to the kids homework during the school year (The kids are at the daycare for less than 3 hours and in that time they feed them and have them still go outside to play and help with homework) when you get off of a 10hr long day. Coming home to do homework w a child that needs to hurry up eat and get into bed. Homework is the last thing on your mind. Ms. Sarah made nighttime smoother. To have someone make your life easier not just during the day while they are there at the daycare but also at night time. That is a special kinda woman. I implore you to find someone better... you won't be able to. *Ms Heather makes the children smile and laugh on a daily. She is such a ray of sunshine. She puts so much prosody when she reads to the kids. Making each book a real page turner. The kids are so intrigued they actually sit there listening waiting to find out what happens in the story. Mind u our daughter is under 2. Getting her to sit there and listen is next to impossible.... but somehow someway Ms Heather has that ability to be so captivating. * Ms Rosie has the hardest job of all... making food for my picky eaters. She makes such wonderful and nutritious food. That the kids eat and enjoy. I can always count on her to make sure the kids don't starve. *Ms Christina is an extraordinary woman. She takes great care of the kids and makes sure they never have a dull moment. From playing with toys to painting to playing outside she puts so much imagination into the day. The director will send pics throughout the day mostly of my youngest taking her own selfies. She motivates her teachers to be the best and is there for the parents any time. She has ensure the kids safety by having installed camera systems in every classroom and having a key code to get into the building. She is someone I can talk to and not feel rushed or a burden. My concerns are her concerns. Bc of this daycare I don't have to stress over if the kids are being watched or if they are eating, if they are having fun, or the big one. If they are being loved. Each teacher puts their all into loving and caring for the kids. It's not just a job for them. It's a place they call home. That is what makes my heartstrings happy and that's what has kept us there for so many years and even more years to come. The kids look forward to going to the center and playing with their friends. Idk what we would do without our home away from home.
