My son attended this facility years ago and I had a similar experience as other parents on here. My child often had bruises and the facility would claim they reviewed the cameras and would claim they were either old (determined by their owner/nurse practitioner) or did not occur here. My child would cry and tremble as soon as we would drive near this place. I love this place. Both my children have gone here and I have nothing but good things to say. It's very clean here and they offer the "watch me grow" where you can monitor your child via cameras in their classroom. My child comes home learning something new everyday. Ms. Ana really puts her whole heart in and loves what she does for these kids. I am 100% confident that my child will be more advanced compared to the kids that will be attending Kinder next year because of the curriculum they teach. As a first time parent, my baby cried just seeing the building from afar, and was balling when dropped off and I thought it was separation anxiety, but it was not. It would take so many pages to write what went down, and how our safety concerns were deliberately swept under the carpet by the director & owner. Just to inform other parents, it is your choice to place your child in this facility after reading these reviews from other parents who had traumatizing experiences with United Kidz Academy even got threats of dropping services when brought up the alarming injuries, and received a message of suing us for writing the reviews of our traumatizing experience with United Kidz Academy. If I could give his daycare a no star I would. First off I took my just 3 year old son to school on the first day, they never asked for his enrollment packet, shot records or his physical. I had the documents and kept them to see when they were going to ask for these documents as they are very important. They have important information such as emergency contact and who is able to pick up children. One day I asked his grandma to get him they told me it was fine, because she was on the packet ( that was never turned in). Second, He was at school all day when I picked him up his 1st and 2nd day they told me. What is your kids name again, we forgot.. So they forgot his name ALL day for 2 whole days. Third, His teacher (Ms Mary) was not what we expected. She seemed strict at first but as he was there she seemed mean, She did not like my child, and made it very clear. It was his first week and no one got to know him or help him adjust to his new class. He may have gotten in trouble as a part of not feeling safe. But no one explained to him what he did wrong, and they let him be alone ALLLL day for 5 out of the 7 days he was there. He even ate lunch alone on his last day. Any time I questioned why he was alone all day they told me he Choose to be alone, but he is 3 and does not know anyone and no one cared to get to know him. So why would he want to be part of a group. My son knows a lot as he came from an Accredited facility where he learned so much. We had to move from that daycare because they are closing for a few months. AT UKA I was assured they would do and learn a lot, but those 7 days he was there, all they did was play with play-dough, and color papers. My son was fine every morning, as soon as Mary said, "hi" he would lose it and ask me to take him home. I thought it was from him being at a new center. I know its because that teacher was mean to him. He told me when I picked him up, Ms mary mean to me. And we asked if he made any friends, and he told us, "Me" he did not have any friends or support at this daycare. And i specified he was barley turning 3 and needed more attention, but instead he wondered around the classroom and laid on the floor alone. They even let him sit alone by a pole in a completely different playground by himself for about 15 min, the teachers were no where in sight, and I knew they could not see him. One time we looked in on the video, and there were no teachers in the room as the kids were taking a nap. Also during circle time, Mary decided it was okay to pull a child (not my child) from his shirt to get him to sit on the wall. Every time the child moved away you would see her reach for him and pull his shirt so he would sit back at the wall. Ms. Mary also thought it was appropriate to get in kids face and point fingers at them when they were acting up. This is not appropriate for a 3 year old. He does not understand why this new lady he doesn't know is yelling at him. While all the other kids stare at him. The last straw was when I went to look at the video the teacher grabbed my son by his shoulder and pulled his shirt to get him away from a kid that stole his toy. She told me she thought he was going to hit the kid. But instead of getting his hand and telling him no, she felt it was appropriate to grab him in that manner. Which is not acceptable especially when my son is already scared of you. I will never return to this daycare. Trust your gut feeling, she gave me an uneasy feeling but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Worst decision I have EVER made. I left the daycare 7 days in, could you imagine if he would have been there longer, and cameras were not available. read more

My daughter has been attending UKA since August 2018 and we are very thankful that God brought us here. After not being able to have children for over 15 years, I prayed that God show us a place where my child would be loved, taught, made friends, and care for as well or better than us. The directors, Ms.Shannon and Ms.Christina have been amazing; they answer all my million and one questions, and take the time to get to know our family and my daughter. They interact with all children, staff and parents in a professional and God loving way. My daughter's teachers, Ms.Mary, Ms.Yolanda and Ms.Makaila have the gift of patience and love for the children. I get to see on the cameras the interaction as they play, teach, and love each of the kids in the class. I often see the teachers running in the play ground, dancing with the children in the classroom and giving comforting hugs when a child needs it. My daughter is a picky eater and newly potty trained, so the teachers have taken extra steps to assist my daughter to ensure she eats and continues to thrive in going to the potty. We love picking up our 3 year old daughter and hearing about her day and how much she loves her school, teachers and classmates. This school also offers after hours care under the direction of Ms.Lindsey, who deals with a range of ages from 3yr olds to the afterschoolers She has activities to keep the children engaged after a long day, and I have seen her assisting with homework. My daughter sometimes joins her class if we have to work a little late and weather we pick her up or not, she has to go into Ms.Lindsey's class to hug her and say good bye for the day. We have also been able to join school activities such as Meet the teacher day, 1:1 touch bases with the teachers and directors, The amazing fall festival, the Halloween school parade and classroom party. All have been very well planned and detailed to include all children, staff and the families. As The Holidays approach, the school has other planned activities and we can't wait. God truly took our family to the right place and we are grateful for UKA. read more

I've brought my child here for almost 9 months now, since he was 3 months old. Speaking for the infant care, I have been extremely pleased. I will caveat this with the fact that this is the only daycare I have ever used but I'm a pretty involved parent and will call things out if I see them. And I have, on a couple of minor things. And the staff and management have been very attentive and respectful. The most important thing is that I feel my baby is very well cared for. The teachers in his room are amazing and I've even learned from them too. The key with any daycare situation is open communication, and I have definitely felt that in my experience. I don't have toddlers in school here yet but there are a lot of kids and parents that go here and haven't left! Choosing a daycare that's good and convenient to your commute is hard enough, so please see for yourself and don't rule this place out. I feel terrible for the other reviewers who had bad experiences, but I can only comment on my personal experience. Trust your instinct of course, talk to parents that go here, and know that there are plenty of parents and kids that come here and have good experiences. read more

United Kidz Academy has been amazing. I enrolled my two children into the daycare almost a year ago and the staff and director have been most accommodating! I love this Learning Center my daughter was so shy when she first started and I've watched her grow and learn so much. Ms. Shannon and her team are excellent to my daughter. There was a day in particular when I went to pick her up and I saw Ms. Shannon playing and holding my daughter and comforting her when she first started. I knew right then this was the perfect place. I should have listened more to when my son cried hysterically when we got into the premises and about to drop him off to class. My son would cry and was scared, but as a first-time parent I thought it was just separation anxiety. It gave light to the hysterical cries and fear of going to that facility when my son started coming home with injuries. The worst injuries were pinches and nail marks. Nail marks dug on the genital area where it bled on the pull ups. My heart still raises when I recall those times and when the director did nothing but spoke to us and tried to kick us out. We reported the incident, several times to the director, but instead of removing those so called "best teacher" in the facility they have promoted the one that my hubby and I suspected of hurting our child, teacher who our child cried from when being approached/ touch by her. Casandra did nothing, but helped herself. By not ridding the facility of those people so it will be less paper works and hassle on her part looking for someone else to fill in the spots. The director was told regarding the other "teachers" who I saw repeatedly yelling at a 5-6-year-old girl to go to sleep and grab her and forcefully laid her on the floor without nothing to catch the little girl's head. I saw that head bounced. I reported everything to the director, but she did nothing but 'talk' to her associates. The "teacher" who forcefully laid the little girl and bounced her head remained in the classroom long after my hubby and I took our child out of there. This incident was 2 years ago and the report of misconduct and abuse to the children are piling up and are now apparent! Two years ago, when my 2-year-old was abused in this place, including the owner didn't help us get justice for my child. Instead, the director said the owner wants us out. My hubby and I never thought of even leaving our child another second in their care after what's happened, over our dead bodies. Thank you for your input. read more

Review from a former employee- Clear example of the saying "Never judge a book by its cover" First Impression: Very nice facility, secured and the directors were very nice and welcoming Worked a full 8 hr shift and did not return. I did not feel comfortable with the things I saw going on around me. Spent some time in the classroom and saw how the teachers would ignore the children. I've worked in childcare for many years, I know how it is, however this was a little too much. What bothered me the most was that I was down the hall in the break room...with the door closed and I could clearly hear one of the teachers yelling in her classroom to her kids saying " If ya'll don't stop crying the monster is going to come and take your eyeballs out!" I was so shocked. If I was a parent and someone told my child that to get them to stop crying all hell would break loose. I brought up what I heard to the director and asked about the cameras in the room. She said the parents have access to view them, but they do not have sound on their end. But she does. She said she was going to review what happened. Another director said she probably already knew who it was because she's had that problem before. WHAT?! If you have a problem with an employee saying things like that obviously they should not be in the classroom. Or try out a different one to see where they could be a better fit. There was so many other things I noticed and did not like one bit! To potential employees- Do not apply here. I was only there for a day, did not know anyone and already knew everyone's drama and past drama. Also did not get paid for the day that I did work. I was told it was going to be mailed, months later and it never arrived. It's not a big deal because it was not much but it's still not right. To parents: Yes the facility is nice. However it is not worth the ridiculous price they charge just to have them scream at your kids and have the false label of a "christian" academy added to their description. If you already have your kids enrolled I would highly suggest taking a view at the cameras while you are at work. & if you have an issue that is actually brought up to you request to have it viewed from the director and owners point of view so you can actually see and hear what is going on behind closed doors. I had to wait to cool down before I could comment on how I felt about this daycare. I really feel like parents should take advantage of the camera system they have. I work a desk job and luckily got to check in every hour or so to see how my son was being treated. I'm DEFINITELY not saying he is perfect but the problems he had while he was there started when he began going to school here. Every single day they'd tell me he was doing great. I even have his folder that says so. One day I luckily turned the camera on at the right time and saw his teacher handling him way too rough for a 2 year old and then proceeded to cover his whole body with his blanket. He could not see. When he took the blanket off of his head he clearly seemed confused like he did not know what was going on. I still get emotional when I think about it because I was paying these people to protect my son when I was not around and they were mistreating him. I left work immediately and went to the daycare crying about what I saw. The director (who showed no sympathy at all) assured me she would review it but they couldn't believe it because his teacher was "the best teacher there". I finally got a call saying she reviewed it and did not see what I was talking about. She was blaming my son A TWO YEAR OLD. When I picked him up that day they had a long report about how he was being bad and "went to the office" which was obviously written after I decided to complain about the teacher. Anyways. I ended up requesting to meet with the owner to review the tapes. We all met and they saw what I had been talking about. They assured me it would not happen again. Every single day I would pick him up after the incident they'd tell me how bad he was. Biting and hitting and that the teachers could not handle him. Not even 2 weeks later I saw her grab my son by the top of his arm and would not let go and you could tell he was clearly uncomfortable. I've seen her take kids outside where the cameras do not point. I won't say the teachers name but she from my understanding she had already been under investigation for negligence. He was finally moved to a different room and I felt extremely relieved. The first couple days were great. He seemed like he enjoyed going to school again. Then they told me he had to leave the school because his behavior was not improving. They said that he would not last in another daycare and I should look into getting a nanny. I looked very hard for a new daycare that I could trust. I found one and informed them of what he went through. His behavior was very bad when he went there and they worked with him because they understood he had a very bad experience. Not even 3 weeks later they tell me how great he is doing and I can tell he loves going there. Because they know instead of mistreating a TWO YEAR OLD when acting out they actually work to improve the behavior. I found out you can only report an incident at a daycare 3 days after it happened. If I would have known that I would have reported United Kidz Academy for what they did to my son to prevent it from happening to another child. I learned that just because a daycare looks very nice does NOT mean that they will treat your child that way. read more

Our daughter has attended UKA since she was 6 months old. She is almost 4 now. We totally love it. I can go to work and have peace of mind. It is more than day care, it really is a community. They make so much money that they can even afford to serve better healthier food, snacks, they can't even update there baby, toddler toys, or even afford batteries to make them work. How is a child suppose to learn if there broken. The Baby room, those girls are always on there phone that's probably why there's so many incident reports. The toddler room, the kids are out of control. The teachers need better training. They don't even sanitize there toys in all the rooms. The Baby room, you know how many times I've counted on people walking in with there shoes on even though there's a sign? Too many, don't be fooled. I guarantee if u get the camera u see everything. Outside the teachers are always on there phones too. The bigger kids rooms, they don't watch learning shows. The staff seem nice but a few are rude. I never see them clean anything. My daughter told me one of the teachers yelled at her and hit her on the arm, of coarse the teachers denied it and always said, We reviewed the camera and they didn't do nothing wrong. This daycare deserves no star. The staff is very unprofessional, doesn't take accusations lightly or even admit it. The 2 directors told me to come in there closed door office and started pointing the fingers at me and accusing me. So unprofessional . Parents please be careful and watch your child and pay for the video. Check your daily reports accurately. And check ur child . It happened 3 times my child had marks, bites, and even a big scratch that they were not aware of, didn't look into it , or even care to be concerned or have an incident report. There were several times when my daily reports for my child we're false documentation. I was a concerned parent And when I was confronted they told me my child could no longer attend because CPS was there investigating and they automatically accuse me with no proof. They told me my child was a great kid. They are just upset at me and took it out on my child. That's sad. If CPS didn't find anything why worry. Instead they told me to leave. Ms.Shannon and Ms. Christina. They lied to me and I was beening ignored when I was concerned with issues that were reoccurring many times and they always had an excuse instead of addressing it. I wish the employees were trained weekly and paid more attention more towards the kids. Because I heard CPS visited quite often and there are so many incident reports they're at that center. Maybe the owner should look into a better staff because they are so unprofessional and tell you what you want to hear and do not work with you. It's a shame but I know I won't be the only parent. I felt I shouldn't have to leave because I was a concerned parent trying to make a difference. They would rather tell the problem to leave, me. And what's funny is they wouldn't allow me to see the video when an incident happened. They lied to me on what I saw with my phone. I wanted to see if they were telling the truth about addressing it and they weren't. I just want to let parents know to always pay attention and write down everything. And report any concerns to someone else than the staff. Be a voice for those kids. Don't judge a book by its cover unless you witnessed it.
