A pretty cool idea to allow people to skydive without having to jump out a plane. You can book online with various types of package available starting at about £30 you then turn up get some tuition and then get about a minute in the tunnel with an instructor with lots of pics and a video taken as well. Theres a good viewing gallery upstairs as well so I'd say if your not sure you can pop up and have a look before booking anything. I think it's good value, good fun and something a bit different. It's also a good present idea so get it booked!
What a fabulous experience :-) never been and was taken here as a birthday present and loved it. You get all dressed up and taken into a tube and you learn how to fly :-) the instructor shows you how to balance yourself and float and each round is about 2 mins long. They will take you up if you so choose. Loved it and did it again in Madrid a few days later. Great experience and I would happily do it again. It's a bit scary at the beginning but well worth it :-) read more

Having bought this for the boyf's birthday back in December, I had been planning an escape route quite early. However, this backfired and I ended up staring at the air-tunnel of doom early this morning. I completely have to go back on my fear and preconceptions of what it was going to feel like (i.e. death) and say it really was an amazing feeling. The staff were more than friendly and willing to go through the steps more than once, and our fellow fliers were equally as supportive. You literally have to fall forward into the tunnel, so trust was a bit of an issue for me initially, but you just have to suck it up and fall. The instructor stays with you the whole time and really wont let anything happen to you and, if you are a scaredy cat, the feeling of accomplishment is second to none. As others have said, there is a viewing area if you are unsure or just want to gawp at people's faces doing crazy things. Have a trawl online to see if you can get a good deal, otherwise it can feel quite pricey for the time you get. Overall, a real experience and something I would recommend to all in the Manchester vicinity! read more
We all love the idea of flying dont we? R.Kelly believed he could fly and touch the sky. Well you dont have to think about it every night and day, you can actually make it happen at Airkix. Or at least learn how to fly. Ok, ok it is more like buzz light year type flying or "falling with style" but dont diss it untill you have tried it. Airkix makes that flying fantasy a reality in a safe environment. There is no chance of giving yourself a heart attack thinking every second preceding your jump whether or not your parachute is going to malfunction. That is the appeal for me. This is an amazing place, a fantastic concept with friendly staff who are extremely helpful whether you are a pro skydiver or an absolute amateur like me. The only downside is that this is a past time which will hit your pockets harder than alternative thrill seeking options. A two minute flight will set you back £30. That might seem like a lot, but let's face it where else can you feel the sensation of being blown up into the air against 200mph winds. In any case if you are visiting the trafford centre at least check it out. The viewing gallery is open to the public with a bar area. Who knows you might catch that flyin bug, I certainly did. Now to start saving up the pennies to get my next dosage of airkix ;D read more

this was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had! Funnily enough, we took a wrong turning for the Trafford centre and ended in the car park to this place and saw a sign saying 'indoor skydiving' so of course, we had to go in and see what it was! We went upstairs to the viewing gallery and a group of people were in the booth learning to skydive. Me and my partner immediately wanted to try it for ourselves so on our way out booked ourselves in for a few days later. The experience was brilliant! We had a great instructor named 'Brad' (highly recommended) who showed us the basics before we entered the booth and helped us gain the best possible flying experience whilst inside. We chose the airborne option where you get 4 minutes of flight time and a free downloadable photo. We then payed £5 extra to do the 'high flyer' experience which was absolutely amazing!!!! And if you haven't had enough after your time limit, you can pay an extra £11 for another minute of flight time (we did that too and got another high flyer for free!) Would definitely recommend to anyone!!! AWESOME!! read more

This is so much fun copared to real skydiving. No waiting around no idiots belittling you no clique as I experienced at a real dropzone. You book your time, and go in and 'fly' its pretty expensive but ithout all the hassle of the real thing. read more
Another great day flying with Cez - what a great instructor! I used my return flyer discount and flew for a full 6 minutes (in 2-min increments). I'm hooked! So much fun and coming in a bit later (6pm) gave us time to talk with Cez and get the inside scoop on what we can do to improve for next time. I couldn't hope for a better instructor than Cez. Awesome time at Airkix! read more
Some friends very kindly bought me a voucher for 2 for indoor skydiving with Airkix. I've performed parachute jumps before, but never skydiving. The instructors here are superb, catering for all levels of experience including complete novice, like me. I have to say it's more difficult than I had anticipated and I have tremendous respect for those that master it. What's not in doubt, however, is that it is unique fun & I highly recommend it. The place is also readily accessible being very close to junction 10 of the M60 and the Trafford Centre. read more

Oh my gosh - had an AMAZING time. I never thought in a million years I'd have the guts to do it but my sister convinced me to and I did it and it was incredible. I even went to the top of the wind tunnel - incredible. You have to try it! read more
