How wrong could we be! You end queing endlessly for holes, which aren't particularly hard or exciting. Its less adventure course and more boring course than anything. We didn't come with a voucher, after finding one afterwards which annoyed me as I forked out £16 to play some boring golf and queue. Make the course harder/bigger/ more interesting and less queuing please! Unfortunately wouldn't come here again:(

This is actually really good fun…read more Recently opened in The Trafford Centre, Paradise Island is an indoor crazy golf centre! Featuring two different courses, this is a fun place to take the kids but also good fun for a staff night out as we found out when we wandered along to it for a fun evening! It's not dead expensive (£7 per adult, £5 per child) and you get a discount if you're in a group. The courses are set out really well, some of the holes are quite challenging and it can get quite embarrassing when you're on your 15th shot and there's a queue of six other groups behind you...was that just me?! Oh right...! The novelty theme is very well played out throughout the entire place and the decor is fantastic. It's the sort of place you can kinda of go to with anyone, dads would love it, kids love it, it's a good place to go for a date (no really it is!) and we had a right laugh when I went with work! It's funny to see how competitive men get whilst playing...hehehe!

I know I do…read more Jump Nation claim to have Europe's largest indoor trampoline area, which I dismissed initially as marketing garb, until I saw the place with my own eyes. In need of somewhere suitable to take two hyperactive nephews, when I saw a billboard advertising their opening in Trafford Park I searched for them online and booked us in for an hour's slot (it cost £30 for three of us). When I told them we were going I got serious 'cool points' I tell you, it's the current big thing to go here apparently... Though located in an area of distribution warehouses (watch out for the articulated lorries), the centre is easy to find. It doesn't have many parking spaces, but you can leave your car on Textilose Road. They recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes before your time slot so that you can book in and get the rubber gripped non-slip socks (you're required to wear these and can keep them for next time - there's a £1.50 charge for each pair included in the booking fee). Free lockers are next to the ground floor cafe where you can leave your belongings. Once you're ready you're asked to queue up for the safety briefing before being let loose into the 'arena'. I have to say the staff were excellent, professional yet with a sense of fun. Ensue the carnage. Picture dozens of kids and a small number of hapless adults bouncing around on wall to wall trampolines. My only quibble was the number of people allowed in at one time - you really had to keep your full attention so as not to send some unfortunate seven-year-old catapulting into the roof space. As well as the trampolines there's a large foam pit where you can practice your tricks - this was the most popular area and the staff were diligently supervising. I have to say I had way more fun in that (long and exhausting) hour than I expected, but I wish I wasn't wearing jeans as they restrict your movement so I couldn't be as 'gazelle-like' as I wanted! Needless to say they both want their next birthday parties here - they absolutely loved it and didn't realise they were getting exercise: win win! Tip: you're allowed to take photos but only from the side of the arena (no phones or items in your pockets whilst you bounce). Tip: you can bring your own bottled water / soft drinks.

I don't think I saw any other adults here by themselves (which was not surprising, given it was the middle of a weekday) and overall I wouldn't recommend it for a adults-only outing. The trampolines are small and don't have a great deal of bounce - my 6'4 boyfriend got a sore back pretty quickly! There was a massive queue for the foam pit so we didn't try it. It also doesn't have much atmosphere/aesthetic appeal. For kids though, it's good.

The venue for the event was Victoria Warehouse, a huge event centre just out of town. The small courtyard at the entrance was dedicated to street food: Chaat Cart, Nasi Lemak and Honest Crust were there to satisfy the hungry cyclists, whereas cake and coffee lovers could go straight inside to find many stalls from Cup North. A fantastic selection of food and coffee sellers. Anyway, the prerogative of the event were bikes. In first place, bike clothes, high quality ones. I really liked Svelte's idea of asking people to vote their favourite design for clothes. I'm confident my choice will win! Furthermore, all the bike sellers I have spoken to were very keen to explain the properties of their products and let us try some amazing bikes. Electric bikes are those that struck me more: not only are they beautiful and slightly hipster, they are also very weird to ride, but in a good way, just as if you were riding something alive that reacted to your pedalling. Much too expensive for my pockets, though. :( There was also a BMX competition going on, that I found amazing, although I only managed to see its final part.

Though we might be shamed for driving up the road to the event I even dusted my trusty bike and cycled there! And true to any cycling event there was ample bike parking space! I immediately grinned at the sight of food! REAL food! Somehow I thought it'd be healthy sport stuff like protein bars and sugary drinks but there was Chaat Cart, Nasi Lemak and Honest Crust. Inside there was Cakesmith and gorgeous coffee from Ancoats Coffee Co. Inside was lads of fancy schmancy cycle gear - like over £100 for cycling tops and £70 for award-winning fitness capri pants! There were also luxury items like leather saddles, tweed carriers, leather cycling shoes, large beautiful prints of cycle route scenes. Deffo hipster cyclist heaven! All in all I had a lot if fun and it was nice to see that there were interactive/active events. Thomas B got a hair cut in the vintage barber's caravan and we saw BMX bikers do some tricks! Great atmosphere with the seating outside and the Manchester sun shining!

I came, I saw, I conquered (to an extent) one of the most basic climbing walls they had, but hey ho…read more- you have to start somewhere! My very first time at the MCC and first time climbing generally and I have to say that I really hope I'll be going back soon! We went for a taster session between 5 of us which lasted an hour and cost £60 between us - not bad value I think! Liam the instructor was a really cool guy (in fact all the staff were pretty chilled and friendly) and was all about the safety first, followed by teaching us on the kiddy walls - then onto the "am I really going to have to climb up that mofo" walls! After we all had a chance to get up and down the big walls a few times we then went on to some bouldering which was really cool but I could definitely feel it in my shoulders the next day - intense but good fun and you really work up a sweat! Special mention should go to what a cool place is - just check out the snaps! An old church/cathedral converted into what is an amazing space and setting - just wow!

I have always wanted to try climbing in the past, but have always been put off by the initial cost…read moreof equipment and just the general worry that I may not like it. Well, I have put that behind me. I decided to throw the idea out to the people of yelp and managed to gather together a small group of rotund gentlemen (like myself), and one pretty lady, to have a go at our local climbing wall. It was in a converted church, which was pretty cool. The MCC offer a 1 or 2 hour taster session, with the idea being that the more people you get to come the cheaper it will be. We went for the 1 hour and have to say that that was more than enough. We were introduced to our instructor Liam, who managed to show us how to put on all the equipment so as it would cause the most amount of damage to our genitals during the hour. He then took us to a child wall for our initial go at climbing. The air was filled with hushed curse words as a room full of food bloggers were rapidly been overtaken by small children on the climbing wall. Then, to the large wall! Wait?! Already?! YES!!!! And so, two at a time we were sent up the large wall. And it wasn't easy. my forearms are still aching now as I type! But it was fun. Everyone was aching together. Everyone was helping each other and egging people on. After this, we had a go at bouldering. This basically like the wall, but without ropes and only up a wall that is about 10'. Liam put stickers at some of the highest places and we all had to try and get one. Well, the things we will do for a sticker. It was carnage. People were falling off walls onto the crash mats like we were in action movies. Then, an hour was done. fantastic. I want to go back again :-)

We have been going to Prendoolys on a almost weekly basis for quite some time now, and i can…read morehonestly say it is by far the cleanest and best soft play area we have ever visited. The staff are always very helpfull and make you feel very welcome and the food is delicious. The children always have a great time playing on all of the various equipment and my son says that the slides here are the best because they are the fastest. The way it is all designed also is a big plus to me because although the two eldest are always off in the main play frame i can still keep my eye on them from either the baby area or toddler area with my youngest child. I am thinking of holding my sons 7th birthday party here because although i havnt had one myself i have seen lots of parties taking place when we have visited and they just make such a fuss of all the children that the parents just love it. one small negative is that the car park is not big enough for the ammount of custom they seem to get however there is a large car park a couple of hundred yards away which is free and we always park on that.

Nice, bright and airy building with loads of space to climb or even just watch others climb. Couldn't find a traverse wall anywhere but the place is so big I may just not have seen it. A small gear shop if your need some new shoes or trousers and a membership desk come coffee shop as you enter with a large viewing platform built on top. Hopefully they will have a monthly standing order membership though as not sure how NY have the money spare to pay for a yearly membership even though that is the most economical way to climb if you're keen.
