Let me start off by saying that iGlam is a vibe! From the time you walk in till the time you leave! This was my second visit to iGlam and I can say that it is one of the best, if not the best, lash studio in Jax. Setting up an appointment is super quick and easy. You can do it online or by phone. Also, if you have any questions you can simply call and they will answer any questions you may have. As you can see it is very aesthetically pleasing from the moment you walk in. They have a super cute pink sofa with irresistible treats in site! The studio is super clean! They do still require masks to be worn at all times but this wasn't an issue for me. I booked my hybrid fill with Rana and she was so sweet! She was very friendly and a great conversationalist. I'll be back to visit her! She did my lashes so well! Let me start by asking; am I the only one who has looked atrocious and unkept? Lol I blame Covid. I finally decided to put my mask on and at least work on brows! The receptionist, Brooke, was really friendly and went above and beyond. I somehow ended up at the San Marco location lost. I reached out to Brooke, she allowed me to keep my last minute appointment and texted me the correct address. When I walked in, the place was very clean and welcoming. Pink, glamorous and tons of flower. Brooke greeted me, and I apologize but I don't remember the lady's name that did my eyebrows. My eyebrows were a lot better than what they were, but it didn't really last too long. Still a lot better though! The clean up process was good! Not perfect but good. I had to clean under them when I got home, but overall I was pleased! The tint the first day was everything! Wish you guys could've seen it! It just required me to fill them myself a little the next day and days following, but great start! Walking out the salon, was pleasant. Charnae, who I was later told is the owner, was extremely kind! This salon is amazing! I went to their soft opening for their second location (Southside) tonight with two friends. They were offering free brow threading and brow tinting. My lash stylist Deanna was so bubbly and knowledgeable. She made all three of us feel comfortable, as it was our first time getting these services done. She explained exactly what she was doing and made sure to answer any questions we had. The salon is decorated so beautifully. It feels like a spa! I can't wait to try a lash boost soon! The Owner was so nice and friendly. Right now they are collecting fancy dresses to donate to Duval high schoolers who can't afford an expensive dress for a dance. They are accepting donations until February. One of my friends said the threading was amazing and she'll never go back to waxing. Threading didn't hurt me at all! Sheillyn was so amazing and accommodating! I got my lashes done for the first time here and not only is there a relaxing aroma floating around the spa, but they also have a great playlist and an adorable snack bar!!! They follow COVID safety regulations and make sure you are comfortable during your appointment. They are very sure to tell you not to get your lashes wet in the first two days and I was trying to obey but I accidentally had a crying fest the first day I got them done and my lashes did not budge! I loved my experience at iGlam Lash & Beauty. I got lash extensions, which I have been quite skeptical to get given the fact that I was not sure how my eyes would react and how they would look. I showed my lash tech Alyssa a reference photo and she did amazing. She was so sweet and was very gentle. I got everything I wanted, and the finished product was just amazing. Rana is so sweet and super gentle, I got the hybrid lash set with a light cat eye. They have great specials and you can book / see available appointment slots online which makes planning so much easier during the pandemic. My lashes did not even last for 5 days. I'm embarrassed to even have what lashes are still hanging on and it is only Day 7. That's really really unfortunate. It is not worth paying more than $100 for something to fall out in less than 5 days. I have had other places where my lashes stayed on for as long as a month. iGlam's place is really nice. The tech's are really sweet. But in the end, what matters most is getting what I paid for - lashes. And it is iGlam's fault, not the techs, if they're not teaching their new tech's right. What happened to this place? iGlam came out with a bang when they first started in San Marco and did everything right. Now? It's like they gave up. This is really unfortunate. The location was clean and the rooms were private and you laid there and the tech just did her thing. I can't imagine how much patience she must have to do this type of work. I am not the type of person to ever leave a bad review on a someone because I know everyone has bad days. My issue is with the store owner. She is very rude over the phone. I had many times where I would speak with her trying to set an appointment and she changes her tone to an attitude. For someone who is new to the location I just wanted to know store hours and she seemed like she is just already over the day. The thing is, this is always a problem. My Aunt told me not to go to iGlam Lash & Beauty because she isn't a polite woman. When my aunt got her lashes done for the first time ever, the owner spoke in a high tone "QUIT blinking" and roughly moved her head straight. Very inappropriate and unprofessional! If it wasn't for Rana I would not be going to support that place one bit. Rana is sweet and amazing. She has so much potential. She deserves to be at her own shop in my opinion! Not one to usually take the time out to write a bad review. But I had expectations for this place and they failed me completely. I've been going to lash tech for a while but she was away on vacay and I needed to get them done. And I thought this would be the perfect place. I had an appt for Saturday at 10 am. I live on the west, so getting to south is a drive. Got there on time, at around 1015, receptionist let's me know that my stylist will not be able to make it in. That I could pick between 1230 or 420. I've never had someone not show up to an appt. I chose 420 first, then said nah. I'll do 1230 and find something to around here instead of having to leave and come back or wait till 4 and leave late. Around 120 we started to do my lashes, for a natural set, I was able to finally open my eyes at 347! Which I understand completely, because I have very full lashes. But Never have I ever had to wait that long. The stylist did seem pretty inexperienced. It has been 3 days from my appt, and pretty much all of my lashes have fallen off. NOT the lash and my real lash, JUST THE EYELASH EXTENSION. When I go to my regular tech, girl I last 3 weeks w lashes!!! With none falling out the first day like they were here. Needless to say, there may be another tech in there that's great. Or more experienced. But w my experience, not so good. I decided to also get my eye brows done by the same stylist and my god was that not the best idea, they didn't come out clean and nice the way I usually get them done. They're still hairy. The receptionist did take 25 off for the inconvenience of appt switch, but I won't be going here again. Cute place! Nice receptionist! Update: 4 days now since appt and about 2 lashes left on right eye, and about 6 or 7 on left. Last pic. usually to remove lashes you have to set an appt to remove them. So I have been going to iGlam for about 2 years now, loyal customer, never had ANY issues, and everyone loves the atmosphere (which is pink and modern) however, I did have one incident where I brought up the issue I had with soooooo many lashes falling out within 3-4 days (Of course, you protect your investments and I always taken care of them.) I brought up the issue casually and instead of rectifying the situation as professional business owners, the owner chose to call my personal number and try to shove the "Lash Policy" on from the website down my throat. --let's be honest, nobody goes online to read lash policies, they get online to book services. So! I let her know, it was not her fault and I was very respectful & happy to move forward with my services once she helped her stylist prevent future occurrences and handled the situation, however she retorted with "Well you should've called or left an e-mail review, you should've let us know sooner" Excuses , not results. Naturally, I don't go out of my way to let business' know where they are/may be slacking. One-because I don't have the time to stop my day and call people and leave reviews, AND I also understand and am mindful that some people just may be having a rough day or need additional training. However, as I just casually mentioned on a comment, this was not handled professionally AT ALL, which is sad, because the stylists and front desk staff are so genuine and kind and definitely have the utmost respect for the clients. So! In short, the owner made it very clear that she doesn't care about the actual client experience and return, although she wrote the policy, and since she is the owner so can resolve any situation, she choose not to. If she cared about her clients and her business, she would've handled the situation respectfully and promptly, but made a conscious (or lack there of) decision to call and badger a website, instead of resolve like a human. Unfortunately, this was not the case and I am now finally getting around to leaving this review just because I don't want this to happen to anyone else and hope the owner learns you simply cannot treat clients this way. I had a fantastic experience getting my first lash lift at iGlam. I went first thing in the morning and so it was very empty. Just myself and the staff working. The space was clean, inviting and very pink! I loved how they had little treats laid out for when you are waiting. The front desk staff was very polite and offered me water/juice while I was waiting for my tech. Rana did my lash lift and she was great! Application was quick and the results were AMAZING! Got my brows thread and tinted with Rana and I am obsessed!! She was so sweet and knowledgeable. I told her it was my first time getting my brows tinted and she talked through everything with me and answered all of my questions. I took a chance and scheduled an appointment with Shianne and ever since then I've been coming back regularly. Love the location and the decor, Shianne is very friendly and detail oriented when doing my lashes and goes out of her way to make sure her work is great- I only go to her now. My husband and I are on our babyMoon in jax! Got my lashes done in IL before we flew down. Maybe just the pregnancy hormones but my left eye got super swollen and itchy. After 2-3 days of trying every natural way to save my lashes but sooth my swollen eye I couldn't take it and came into iglam right when they opened. They were so nice and so helpful. Ronna, I think that's how you spell it?, fit me in between one of her appointments to get the lashes removed. Which doesn't always get to happen so I greatly appreciate her doing that. I was becoming a regular at Iglam. First I saw Gracie. I showed her a picture of what I wanted my eyelashes to look like and she did a wonderful job. Gracie was full so I booked with Shianne for my next visit. I seen Shianne around 4 times I showed her the picture of what I wanted and every single time I came out I had completely different eyelashes. They were so bad the last appointment they comp me a 1 week visit. The last time I went in I sat her down and I made sure she understood what I wanted and when she was done they still were not correct. I was left with gapping in between my eyelashes and eyelashes that were all different directions. I called in and let the receptionist know what had happened. She told me she was going to comp me the 35$ eyelash removal and but she will not comp me on the full set that Shianne messed up which would be 175$ Then the receptionist started talking over me and would not let me speak and was blaming the situation on me. The service I received was terrible. I'm not normally the one to complain or leave reviews but I had to let this be known. Because eyelashes are expensive and you can't do that to someone. I hate that I'm having to write this, because I really wanted to love this place. Their social media is amazing, the space is lovely and my lash tech was very sweet. Unfortunately, my lash extensions lasted only 2 days even with following all of Iglam's recommendations for retention. Also, prior to getting my lash extensions I booked a training session and paid a $95 deposit for it. Soon after, I saw that the San Marco Iglam location was closing so I asked about the status of my training class during my lash appointment. The staff let me know that that the training space was no longer available, so I canceled my class expecting to get my deposit back but never did and still haven't. I spoke to a receptionist on the phone after calling three times with no answer, who rudely told me that the IGlam San Marco and training studio are two separate locations and I wouldn't get my deposit back since I canceled the class, even though at the time it was still more than 2 weeks away. She offered to have her manager give me a call to sort out the misunderstanding, and hung up on me before I could even say "thank you". As a hairstylist at a busy salon, I see dozens of women on a daily basis who I would have highly recommended IGlam's services to had I been treated fairly, unfortunately now I will be the one to tell them to take their business elsewhere. read more
