Anyone with solid theology and intelligence will get run out of this place quickly. The men who are lifted up are mediocre teachers or conmen and liars. Fools like to feel important, which is why so many attend here. These passages describe this place perfectly: "For the name of God is blasphemed among the nations through you, as it is written." Romans 2:25 "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." The Sunday services are vibrant and full of real life application. The new Thursday night small groups are really taking off, and they are starting to get more ties to the locals in the community while working with the larger New Life family. They have English and Spanish services, and a Kids Zone for the children. I recommend this church to anyone in Hammond who needs a church!

That agreement was mutually revised in 2014 to reflect the production's continued use of my music. Royalty payments stopped in 2018. Over the years I've tried every private avenue I could think of, including invoices, emails, certified letters, documentation, and legal counsel. Earlier this year I was told leadership was reviewing the matter, but after providing everything they requested, communication once again stopped. I'm posting this only after exhausting every private and professional effort to resolve it. I remain hopeful that Family Christian Center's leadership will choose to address this in a manner consistent with the values it teaches.

I love the art deco lettering on the church hall. The interior of the church is done in traditional old world Serbian Orthodox design. Beautiful frescoes, a traditional Iconastasis ( icon screen), flickering candles and a wonderful choir add to the beauty of this East Chicago treasure. Traditionally, especially in Europe, pews are absent in an Orthodox church, pews are a trait of Western Christianity. St. George has no pews, which allows for a more open, less regimented and free feeling. There are special side chairs along the walls for the elderly and the sick, On Labor Day, the church holds a festive picnic and lamb roast on its grounds. This church is the chapel ministry of First Baptist Church of Hammond. It is an independent…read morefundamental Baptist Church with a diverse congregation. The preaching is from the King James Version of the Bible. The congregants are kind and visitors are made to feel welcome and given the opportunity to learn about salvation and fully understand. The women's group is very active and there is fellowship in and outside of church. There are opportunities for service. The Sunday evening and Wednesday night services are held at the First Baptist Church of Hammond. Transportation is provided to anyone in need of a ride to church. There is a nursery for very small children, however the church is family integrated which I like. This church is not part of the new IFB movement (this is just FYI). Young people are encouraged to attend Bible college. Visit and I believe you will be blessed.
