We had started our child in a community Ed gymnastics program and they did OK, but it was lacking in many areas (staffing, equipment, flexible time slots, being able to do multiple stations, etc.) But TAGS has multiple different skill levels, for girls and boys, so we were able to get our child into the right one, and then she moved up levels as she progressed. They run the business professionally but also personally. It feels like family. The staff truly are devoted and committed to help your child grow and get better, and ever feel bad if they are not able to do something. Stable staff, not a lot of turn over!! If you are new to the place, it may seem like chaos, but it is anything but. I LOVE, love, love, that my daughter is able to work on multiple different stations in her weekly hour session. We rented Base Camp for an over night lock in for a high school girls basketball program's team…read morebonding event. Setting it all up was so easy! They were quick and responsive and everything was all planned via email which made things so convenient! They were straightforward about what to bring for the lock in. The night of, the girls had fun! Lots of space to run and around and be teenagers. All the girls had games the next day, so they came in and all said something about the temperature, some were too hot and some were too cold. One common thing was if they just had blankets on the floor, they were cold. The other minor thing that could be improved - online waivers. I had to manage all the parent waivers. Overall, a great experience! When we went there was only rock climbing and archery available - that said they got their fill of those activities, so we probably would not do it again next year.

What started out as a summer camp option for our very active 1st grader has turned into a 2-3x/week…read morecommitment for him to continue working on his confidence and his self control while also learning Taekwondo. The staff is great with him. They get that he needs some extra encouragement to focus and they find ways to make it happen. When he failed one of his challenges, he was heartbroken, but Master Boltz talked to him afterwards to let him know it was okay and how he could improve. Mike engages him in each class, works so hard to keep him focused, and provides so much encouragement among the way. He's going to summer camp again this summer, and we're signing up his little brother to start Little Dragons in the fall. We're big fans and would recommend The Gym to anyone.
