From day one we fell in love with the church we have now been attending MBC as regular attenders and we have gotten more involved with the children's ministries which are top notch I myself volunteer in our technical department and our food pantry that is done on the first and third Wednesday of every month for Grundy County residents the pastoral staff always is there in a time of need and also for a good laugh they are very light hearted but also very serious about your walk with Christ we have grown so much since attending MBC our children look forward to going to all of the children's activities and especially the new echo ministry for the children they have their own church service on Saturday night as well as two services on Sunday mornings at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. If you are looking for a church to call home this is the place Pastors Arol,Dave,Brent,Carlos,Nick & Jason are amazing. Programs for seniors teens adults. Fellowship friends and fun are a constant Joyce the Church Secretary is an amazing first impression as well and programs like Celebrate Recovery Divorce Care and Master's Men Breakfast for the men every Saturday are many reasons to call this church home! Although I was married here back in 2015 (under the Hansen's) the church does miss them terribly. I'm eager to see what God has in store for his church under the Stingl's!

Saint Nicholas uses blended language during worship which consists of mostly English with elements of traditional Slavonic added. This is because Saint Nicholas is about a 50/50 mix of 1st/2nd & 3rd generation Eastern Europeans and American converts to the Orthodox faith. The core of Saint Nicholas is about the worship of Jesus Christ as expressed in the traditions of the Orthodox faith. It is through this worship that we more fully realize the love of God and love for each other. On the lighter side, the members of Saint Nicholas share many opportunities during the year to share in each other's lives through many festive gatherings where we gather to share food and fellowship.

Mykola is trilingual (Ukrainian-Russian-English), so the parishioners can easily communicate with him in their native language. Besides his exceptional credentials, he is a wise and honorable man, who is very much respected and loved. Over the years our two kids got involved at serving at the altar and signing in the choir, and St. Nicholas became the extension of our family. It's a small, but growing parish with lots of possibilities to get involved and contribute.

It's beautiful and old and gaudy, has an old pipe organ perched high in the back balcony, and has become the pillar of what churches are 'supposed' to look like. It's made it so, every time I go into one of those acoustic guitar playing, super modern churches with skylights, my heart aches for this place. Also, i really love that the school was built in a time that "Nailers" would still be considered an acceptable mascot.

The words, "I will go in to the altar of God. To God, the joy of my youth", taken from the Latin Mass came to mind. Of course, this raises the question why there is no Latin Mass in this magnificent house of God. The photographs depict the beauty of this church more than words ever could. This church has a traditional high altar with embedded statues of Saint Joseph and the Blessed Virgin. One could spend hours gazing into the sanctuary at St. Joseph's.
