Our installers, Shane & Mike were fantastic. Arrived on time, were very courteous, and went about their job with a fervor. They were obviously very experienced and competent. When they were done, they went over everything with us, and when they left, with the exception of the windows, it was like they were never here, the cleanup was complete. I will be having more windows replaced in the future and, even if I have to wait, I will definitely request Shane & Mike be the installation crew. I must add that the entire situation, from the sales rep, Andrew Pras, the office staff, through to completion was very pleasant, informative and comfortable.

The…read morequote they provided was 4.5k for a pair of windows Low-E4 SmartSun HeatLock with frame, labor, and no tax included. The windows were made by Andersen. Then the next day I had Renewal By Andersen come to give me a quote and the quote on the same windows and material was approx 8.5k. Same material, same qty, frame, labor, not tax, etc. The seller was trying to up-sell me with features that I didn't need. And he showed me couple of samples trying to show by should we do it with them and that why to choose low-E4 and stuff. He used a heat meter and a heat source and couple of glass material in between to show how the glasses would insulate the heat and lower the bill during the seasons. Then I took the heat meter and walked outside to show that it wont get that hot except when you are near the sun and the seller tried to change the convo to another direction. Then he tried to pressure me to make decision right away to get 5% more in discount. The seller was also trying to persuade me to choose them and not to do more homework after meeting him. I hate those sales tactics, especially having done the homework beforehand... Also, the seller and I went through outside walkthrough and he pointed me that all the vinyls are from heat expansion and dissipation from the wall to the vinyls. In my mind they are more like wear and tear and a change in tape should be able to do the job just fine. And the seller kept up-selling me their services. From that point on, it made me realize they were not honest at all and shouldn't use their services... The next day I called Andersen, which is their parent company and inquired on the sashes and they told me that even though they are their parent company, Renewal By Andersen makes different type of windows and not the same as Andersen. And the seller didn't disclose this but instead said their windows are made by Andersen, and neither they recommended to obtain the sashes replacement. Having explore all the options with all the parties, the best option would be to buy replacement directly from Andersen themselves and if you are handy then do the changes yourselves... Definitely NOT recommend Renewal by Andersen, and would recommend to do your homework thoroughly ahead of time and consult with other alternatives like: Home Depot, Andersen, and other before moving forward. In addition, read other review in Yelp and Google and you will see their underhanded tactics and it is not just me but with most of the customers...

By Labor Day, the weather person said "If you thought THIS summer was hot wait a few years until you remember this summer as the last cool one we had". We have a large Western-facing bow window that was getting direct sun. We put that window in 27 years ago, and it worked perfectly fine. Opened, closed, clear glass, nice screens. Really, a very nice bow window without a single problem. I didn't have window treatments because I like a plain look and it's a living room, not a bedroom. But I felt like I was under a magnifying glass, with the sun concentrating in our living room. The air conditioner would not stop cranking, and it was only getting moderately cool. All my neighbors have the same problem, but solved it with thick drapery which, aside from being expensive (4K for one neighbor!) was just dark. I was out shopping with my parents for window treatments, and my father said "Just get Renewal by Andersen Low-E glass". Now my dad is a frugal guy AND a builder. I couldn't BELIEVE he was recommending replacing perfectly good windows, but he explained "They are the best windows out there, I only use Andersen, and look, my house doesn't get hot". And it doesn't. Well one more hot day later, and I call the Andersen people. They have fliers, commercials, social media ads...I just found one of those numbers and made the call. I might have said "I am roasting alive in my own house". Next week, a consultant, Vito Anasto, comes to the house, and he has his box of samples, and a heat lamp. He was so down to earth, and didn't try to "sell" me anything. In fact, I started talking about OTHER windows, and he asked if I had any idea what windows cost, and I hadn't. So he gave me a ballpark figure and I quickly agreed that we should just discuss the one bow window. It was higher than I expected, but I appreciated his honesty. So he explained how the Low-E windows worked, and I was already getting excited. Then, out comes the heat lamp. Vito said "I usually don't do this demonstration, but since it says here 'Client reports being roasted alive' let me show you exactly how these work". So he takes the heat lamp, opens one of my existing bows, and holds the heat lamp outside. I touch the inside of my glass, and almost burn my hand. Then we decamp to the table, and he has samples. We do the same thing with each of the samples, and with the top-of-the-line sample, it's like a trivet. Cool to the touch! I was SOLD. Vito explained that he doesn't have to really sell the windows, the product sells itself; he's just there to figure out which of the local and national deals--which are ongoing--will help me get the best price. And after some searching and playing on his computer, out comes a price. It was higher than I thought it would be, but it was one price. No add-ons, no surprises later...one and done. Well, I looked longingly at that sample that acted like a trivet, and signed. No regrets.

To begin with the salesman was maybe the friendliest person I have ever met in addition to being very knowledgeable. He had none of the tricks I see too often such as we just happen to have the door you want from a cancellation. He just had all the facts. Then they sent someone to measure, once again, this was the most detailed measurement I have ever seen, including removing the moldings. There was an issue with my alarm system which they were able to handle easily. Finally, the installation of these premium quality doors went flawlessly. The doors arrived beautifully painted. I got the feeling that each of these people valued me as a customer. In the end the price didn't seem high at all. I would highly recommend this company.

I specifically showed Daniel, the salesman, the rotted wood spots and told him I didn't want the windows installed on rotted wood because then it will create a side panel issue as well. He said it will be taken care of but it absolutely was not. The guys who came in said it wasn't in the contract so just installed brand new windows on rotted wood which is a waste of the project because the windows will end up being warped. My door needs two hands and brute force to be opened. I cannot understand how this was a "professional" installation. I am so disappointed I want to cry because this was an expensive project and we thought we could trust this company. Services

All these windows are custom-made and the parts and labor are covered for life. I also was a little shocked at the cost for 3 basement windows, but Phil explained - in detail - why they cost so much compared to some other options, and it was a no-brainer to go with Renewal. By buying windows with a discount/promotion from Phil, we have secured that same percentage discount for any future windows we need replaced. We also went with the financing option because of the additional 5% discount and no interest for a year. The installation of our windows went smoothly and I couldn't be happier. Mario and his colleague cleaned up after themselves and worked quickly and quietly - with their masks on!! The windows are pretty, strong, easy to use, safe, and will keep our basement from being drafty now. For what it's worth, my mother also outfitted her house with Renewal by Anderson windows. She's had to make use of the warranty before for a broken part here and there and she has nothing but stellar things to say about their commitment to maintaining their products. I am docking a star only for the corporate-ness of this company. The satisfaction surveys are numerous, and the screener phone call to get someone out to my house for a quote was sickeningly long and unnecessary. I felt like my social security card and a pelvic exam were going to be necessary in order to schedule the appointment, but thankfully it didn't go that far.
