I have placed Christmas orders from iGourmet for the last 10-12 years. This year I placed a large order intended for a family gathering at my house on Christmas Eve that was supposed to arrive at my house 6 days prior. Fed Ex tracking link did not work. I had to call customer service twice to be informed of the status of my order, and each time was given false assurance. When the delivery was already 4 days late, I finally received notice from Fed Ex that it would be delivered between 9 - 2 PM the following day. When it did not arrive within that window I received another notice from Fed Ex that it would be delivered by 8 PM on that date. Now two days after this notice from Fed Ex my order still has not arrived. I called iGourmet this morning to cancel my order and provide a refund. I will NEVER order from iGourmet again. read more

An absolute joke. This company can't get deliveries out for one of their busiest holidays of the year. Placed an order on 12-10-24. Received a confirmation for my paid order stating the order would be shipped between 12-16-24 and 12-20-24. I reached out to the company on 12-18-24 to see if order was shipped. Then again on 12-19-24. They finally responded that it had not shipped but would arrive by 12-24-24. I reached out again on 12-22-24. They responded it would be out by 12-23-24 for delivery on 12-24-24. Reached out today to find out that it didn't get shipped and was with "hundreds" of other orders. They are "trying" to ship by 12-30-24. This is the second time IGOURMET has dropped the ball for me. First time was 3 years ago to the same recipient, my BOSS! The value of this gift was almost $200.00. The value doesn't matter when it comes to delivering what is promised. They need to deliver what is ordered no matter what the cost. They offered me a 20% discount on my next order. They don't have to worry about me using the discount. In 2025 IGOURMET needs to come up with a tracking tool on it's web page, as well as maybe try to get ahead of problems such as they are experiencing. I was trying to use a gift card sent to me, in order to purchase a few small packages of cookies and some sausage, a total weight of 1.3 lbs. When I went to check out, the shipping charge was $63. I thought it had to be a mistake and called Igourmet. I was told the $63 was a flat rate they charge and "that's what Fed Ex charges"! This is truly a rip off! Unreliable for Gift Giving - Christmas FAIL! On December 6, I ordered a selection of cheese for a Christmas gift. $75 + $24.99 for SHIPPING. On December 24, iGourmet emails me to let me know there is a shipping delay. No heads-up, just a "sorry you trusted us" email. In reality, they never sent the items in the first place. Call it what it really is - a packing delay. After the items were eventually sent on December 26, I was informed that I would receive a refund for one of the cheeses ($8) that was never sent. They did not explain why. I still wanted that item as part of the original gift. Maybe refund the $24.99 in shipping costs? Go to your local cheese store instead. Be aware. Over paid (4x actual costs) for delivery well before Christmas bc they indicated it would be there before Christmas. They then notified it wouldn't be there until New Years. Absolute total failure! I ordered for thanksgiving dinner for my mom. I was guaranteed delivery the day before. Well as you probably guessed it was not delivered. They sent me an email saying it would be delivered Friday. I requested a full refund which they immediately gave me. That is why they are getting 1 star and not zero. They said the food was still being shipped at no cost so I thought wow that's great customer service. When it arrived to my mom it was in a puddle of melted icepacks and it was room temperature so still no food. In addition to that my mom said it was a turkey roll not the real turkey pictured on the site, it was a mess and a very small plate of food. so overall they missed the delivery date, poor quality food, small portion, warm on delivery. I didn't mention that I paid $38 for overnight delivery. I would be VERY careful before using Igourmet. Caveat emptor. read more

Do Not Do Business With Igourmet. They are deceptive, they are misleading, the play games with your orders. I ordered 6 Christmas Baskets from Igourmet on 12/9/2020 for business associates. 1 of the 67 orders was delivered on 12/11/2020. The other 5 never shipped. When the order was placed they said that they would all arrive by 12/23/2020. Today I got online and found out that 5 orders had not shipped. I sent in a cancellation notice due to their failure to perform on the 5 orders by 12/23/2020. Within 5 minutes of my online submission requesting a cancellation of the order and my submission of an email direct to Igourmet's customer service I received emails from Igourmet saying that the 5 orders had shipped. I went onto the FedEx website to track the packages and the all said "Label Generated, Awaiting Pick Up By FedEx". This is the worst online shopping experience I have ever had and the fact that my gift baskets to very important business associates did not arrive by 12/23/2020, is a complete let down and loss of confidence. I do not recommend using Igourmet for gifts that are of critical importance. The gift baskets I ordered for business associates from Costco all arrived within 4 days after they were ordered on 12/9/2020, all way before Christmas. 50% of life is showing up, 50% of life is showing up onetime and Igourmet, regardless of how good or bad their gift baskets are, fail at 50% of the relationship contract, as they did not deliver onetime. I requested a cancellation of my order and refund. They played games. Buyer Beware, Igourmet is a company I cannot trust. This company needs to either close it's doors or hire some Amazon Order Fulfillment people who know how to process orders. Disgusting customer service, no one answers the phone. Finally, I envision a person is hired by Igourmet to just sit at a computer and wait for Order Cancellation Notices to come in and when they arrive, that person prints out the order numbers and then out and runs them down to their shipping and manifesting department to have labels printed to automatically generate a email notice that says your order has shipped. But it is just a label creation from FedEx. The photo attached to this review is of a screen grab of the FedEx tracking website after I cancelled my order via email at 6:07am Pacific Standard Time on 12/24/2020. My sister-in-law sent me a gift box from them, two of the cheeses were expired! I called the company to save embarrassment for my sister-in-law, could only send an email because no answering service on their phone line. Didn't hear from Igourmet for more than 24 hours and my sister-in-law asked if I received the gift yet, I did tell her the situation and sent her pictures it's not even the same product what she paid for! They finally sent me another box 5 days later and the same cheese is expired! I ended up emailing them to return money to the sender and I would rather not collect anymore of their spoiled cheese! Since returning from a recent trip to Canada-I was in search of a Canadian Cheese Assortment to celebrate the holiday season! This web site/business has gourmet products from across the globe and they are very reasonably priced! I ordered the Canadian Cheese Assortment...which was beautifully packaged in a gift bag. The cheese was shipped in a styrofoam cooler with dry ice and arrived promptly and cold. I also ordered Vermont Artisan Wheat Crackers that are sourced from a small start-up company in Castleton, Vermont. In addition, I ordered some authentic Canadian Maple Mustard! I have ordered gifts for a friend's wedding in the past which was an assortment of cheeses with Carr's Crackers that were perfect to pair with Champagne. I highly recommend Igourmet! read more

I ordered for the first time and am very happy. A family member who owns a successful restaurant in California told me to try them when I could not find the cheese I wanted. The communication and shipping process was better than any company I've ordered from. The products are outstanding!. I definitely will order from them again. You have to know how to utilize all the services from an import company on the web but I'm a dum dum when it comes to that. I had no trouble getting my first time buyer discount and free shipping. Plan ahead and you won't regret the service! Half of my $200 order of cheeses I could not find locally and this place saved me this year for the Holidays. We ordered a special cheese (kaltbach cave aged gruyere). I used to buy this cheese a lot and it was amazing. There are knockoffs you can get at a supermarket but I ordered from igourmet to get the original. Angelica from customer service told me this was the original and I spent $125 for 4 pounds of cheese. It didn't ship for almost 10 days and when I got it is was the same cheese as you can get in a supermarket. The cheese wasn't horrible and the packaging was nice but they mislead. Worst Salami EVER! If I had ever eaten paper then I would know for sure. This salami tasted like I think paper would taste! It is terrible, hard to chew and definitely not worth the money. This is the first time I have bought from igourmet and I have learned my lesson - it will be the last! Really I think this salami was very old and I cannot believe anyone would ship this out to a customer. A few Weeks back, I received my order and the cheeses were warm. The ice was gone. Unfortunately, I ate some of the cheese. I was sick about 1-2 days later. The Urgent Care doctor feels that it was hepatitis. I belueve It was from the tainted cheese. There is no other possible cause that I can think of. read more

I waited on hold for about 15-20 minutes, until closing time when my call was promptly dropped. After reading other reviews, I see they are not known for the quality of their customer service. I ordered what was supposed to be 5 # of bacon, 79.99 Paid express shipping, 24.99 with FedEx. I received my order Dec 31 2020. What I got! I received 5 - 8.2 oz. packages of the bacon, NOT 1# packages as advertised, it was packaged in sealed packages. They were half the amount in each. It took 5 days to get from Pennsylvania to Kansas. via going to calf and then back to Tennessee. then on to Kansas. after I received the package. it was at room temperature and being it was not being cooled anymore with the three cold packs that were not cold. In a cardboard box that was lined with thin paper inside the box.. I am afraid to eat the meat. I am a cattle rancher in Kansas so meat is a top thing for me. I am a long time client of IGourmet for many years. I have used them for both Corporate and Personal gifts. The quality has generally been very good. Recently I ordered a $100 gift for my mother. It contained one perishable item so I paid for Express shipping $27 to my Mothers apartment unit. The item was reported as delivered to the "offices" of her building. After repeated inquiries to the appt manager it was determined that FedEx had put the package in a locked storage area FedEx uses to drop ship. No one was advised of this. By then two days had passed and if I had not been so insistent the package would have sat there until after Easter. I called I Gourmet customer service to advise them. I did not request a refund but simply wanted them to know FedEx problem. I was made to feel that I was the problem not FedEx. I was told repeatedly that I should have requested a signature. So, based solely on my experience with igourmet, I really had begun to suspect it is a scam. I ordered an expensive gift box days before their deadline for Christmas delivery. I was promised delivery between Dec 18-22nd and I was to receive an email when it shipped. When I hadn't received an email by the 19th, I called to confirm everything was still on schedule. I was assured it would be delivered by the 22nd. Customer Service rep said they would track package personally and send me an email before they left work with a status update. Never happened. When I still hadn't received the shipping email on the 22nd, I called again. I was told that it had been processed and was on the dock to be loaded into the FedEx truck that night and would be delivered on the 23rd. She said she upgraded my order to priority overnight shipping and it would for sure get there before Christmas. Customer Service rep said they would track package personally and send me an email before they left work with a status update. Never happened. Of course, I did not receive the shipping email either and they are closed on the weekend. So the gift never even shipped! Christmas was Monday and my friends had no gift, and I had no explanation except that igourmet had totally dropped the ball and was probably a scam. So I called (yet again!) Tuesday morning. Really nice but ineffectual customer service said they would ship it Tuesday for Wednesday delivery, for sure. Still did not ship. What is wrong with this company that they absolutely do not communicate back to the customer when there is an issue or a question or a problem? I guessed they were just stringing me along to see how long they could keep my money. Just as I called 1st thing Wednesday morning to cancel the whole thing, I received an email that it had shipped. Wrong! It actually did not go to Fedex until 4pm that afternoon. It FINALLY arrived Thursday after Christmas. Lest anyone is confused, this was NOT a "there were too many packages for Fedex to deliver" issue. This was an "Igourmet cannot get it out the door when promised" issue. Could not be happier with our two deliveries from igourmet - one for my family and another for mom who is SIP at home alone. The Peer pit ham is perfect - from breakfast ham & eggs to a dinner with potatoes. The cheese selection was outrageous and we found even a specialty cheese we remembered from Germany. It's cheese fondue for this stay-in-place family during Covid-19! BTW: Everything was packed perfectly, and cold on arrival. The sealed plastic bags not only ensured safety, but were easy to dunk in a solution to disinfect before going in the fridge. We'll be back in a week for more... read more

Such a Disappointment I wish I had done more research, prior to ordering from igourmet. After spending over 2k for product in addition to expedited shipping fees, for a delivery that was expected to arrive on time for a virtual Christmas party, the outcome has been disastrous. After over a dozen email requests and messages left on the customer service phone line, I have yet to receive a response. After ordering a week in advance and paying for the next day delivery shipping method, only half of the orders were delivered, a day AFTER the "virtual Christmas gathering" while the other half were not delivered at all. There is no excuse for such subpar customer service. Times are tough and to spend as much money for this product made me feel guilty. Yet to receive half of the product a day after our event and not receive the other half, while I'm having to beg for a status update is unconscionable. I received a Cheese Gift Box which I assume was a gift but there was no identification of who it was from. I tried to get in contact with igourmet to request if they could help. I called, left a message, and got no response. I called three times: twice I got disconnected after a couple of minutes and once I hung up after a 7 minute wait. I tried to use their on line chat option: submitted my question and email and then waited for several minutes and then got the message sorry no one was available. I'm reposting this here because my original review has been Not Posted on EBay and Igourmet sites. We EVENTUALLY received all but two of the items we should have received initially, and some items are great... but that's because they're products from places that Igourmet gets them from, NOT because Igourmet is anything resembling a reputable company! Even trying to enjoy the good products is tainted by the horrible scam-like experience of ordering from this company. I wish we'd been able to read any realistic review before ordering; because we relied on EBay's high rating of Igourmet which turns out to be completely false and misleading itself. Substitution disclaimer aside, they substituted 3 of 4 cheeses & 3 of 6 meats with lesser items. For instance, an minimal quality goats cheese with cranberries and cinnamon instead of high quality with wasabi, or uncured pork sausage with beer instead of Tartufo, an artisan salami cured with truffles; or cheddar with dried onion instead of caramelized onion, etc. How is any of that comparable!? Camembert is a nice cheese, unless you're expecting a triple-crime Brie! Not even close. Tried to placate us with a "courtesy" shipment of the wasabi goat cheese that suddenly became available the day after shipment. When that didn't work they requested pictures of the items we received. After much deliberation with supervisors they offered 3 cheeses and 1 meat, that should have been in the original order, as a "courtesy", as the original items had all been replaced with "comparable" items. NOT! All of which were suddenly in stock less than 24 hrs after shipping. We are guessing that they count on them being sent as gifts and the giver never knows what is actually received. Or that people don't check what they got or simply accept a disclaimer that replaced more than half the main items with not so gourmet items. Shame on you igourmet! Products I ordered we packed great, and cold when delivered, and delivery was very fast! They were the only place that had the specialty items I was looking for. I have seen other reviews where people said the product was bad or mold had grown, this is probably not the fault of iGourmet.com, but probably something to do with how the product was handled from Europe to the US. So I ordered a set of fine world mustard on dec 22 of 2020 for guarantee delivery by 1/11/2021 for a birthday gift. A week before the delivery date I've email them asking if my package will still be arriving on time as it a birthday gift, and I understand if it's gonna to be late please just let me know so I can prepare something else. I was told that my package would be shipped on 1/9/2021 and I will get it by the 11th. I woke up this morning on 1/11/2021 just to receive an email saying that my package will arrive by the 14th... what's the point of guaranteed delivery date when you guys can't even hold up your end? I truly felt that this was false advertisement, they'll just take your money and sent you the stuff whenever they're close to the deadline. I placed an order two weeks before Christmas for our annual Christmas fondue. I specifically requested to be notified if they didn't have the cheese I requested. I was never contacted. When I received the order, they substituted what I needed with other unsuitable cheeses. When i called they said they were out. Because the order came late I don't have time to order elsewhere and my 25 year tradition is ruined. When I complained they only offered a refund on the cheese they substituted - nothing else for ruining my Christmas dinner. I think they assumed I was an idiot who didn't know the difference between cheeses, and just winged it rather than doing the right thing and contacting me so I could order elsewhere. I ordered some things for my mother for the holidays, in hopes it would arrive by 12/25. I ordered back on December 9th....the website told me it would be delivered by 12/18 which still sucks for ordering that early, but ok. Half the order arrived....the other half I find out with a phone call on 12/20 hasn't even shipped!!!! Seriously?! Then customer service lies to me and says it shipped 12/20....12/21 still no tracking number. Another call to their hang up line...yes, it hangs up on you because there are too many callers. 12/21 still not shipped....no telling if it will be there for Christmas 2020 or 2021...who knows! they sure don't!
