I decided to try this for the first time because I love pineapple whip. I will say this was definitely not the whip I'm used to. I thought it would be more traditional. I go to Hawaiian Brothers. I also go to a place in mother Road market where they're both much more what I am expecting when I think of pineapple whip more like what I get in Disney World. This place was more icy and just not that great. I appreciate the different flavors and I got half strawberry and half pineapple and it was OK. It wasn't bad but it wasn't what I was expecting when I want whip. I don't know that I'll be returning. Also, I'm assuming you turn a machine on and fill up a cup, but they took a very long time for the people in front of me as well as my order and all we got was a couple cups of whip and it should not take that long to fill a cup from a machine. read more

We just love this place! Such a refreshing treat on a hot Oklahoma day! They are just like the ones at the fair but you don't have to wait for the fair to treat yourself! I was a little disappointed in the employees working when I visited. This was my first time and I was very excited to try the sno cones. The worker was busy (no problem there) but before she assisted me she had to check her phone which I found odd. When she finally helped me she seemed bothered I had even shown up at the window. Once I got my sno cone I was even more disappointed to find that it was nearly straight liquid. Past the consistency of even a slushy at this point. As I was sitting there eating the treat I had already paid for, I noticed they closed 30 minutes earlier than the displayed closing time and saw several people have to drive off before even getting the chance to order. So they advertise pineapple whip and I gotta tell ya... There is nothing pineapple about their whip. I've had true pineapple whip in Hawaii at the Dole pineapple plantation and nothing has beat it. Iguana Island sits on the edge of the bustling 71 Street corridor in the parking lot Home Depot. It's a cute little shaved ice shack which specializes in pineapple whips. These are a creamy and sweet version of the classic Shaved ice and are pretty good. Although mine was a little too sweet for me to finish, my friends all scarfed theirs down no problem. The ice in their snow cones are more like the chipped rather than smooth shaved ice style, and you can get them in pretty much every flavor imaginable. Seriously, they have like a thousand flavor options on their long board menus. There was a misunderstanding on the flavors for whips vs. shaved ice. They were extremely rude so when I asked for my money back the man said "you'd get a lot further in life if you were nice to employees." I was shocked. This was the 71st and Mingo location. Wouldn't go there unless you want to be treated like a dog. read more

I believe this is the best snow cone stand in Tulsa. The pineapple whip is pretty mild. Snow cones are generally too sweet for me, but the pineapple whip has a nice medium to it. The ice they use is a lot softer than your regular snow cones. You won't be disappointed. read more

My dad and I went here for the first time last night. My dad has diabetes so he ordered a Sugar Free Tiger's Blood; the girl who gave him his cup said, "this is the sugar free one," so there was no confusion on what he ordered. About 2-4 hours later he checked his blood sugar because he was feeling bad and it was at 430(meaning the snow cone wasn't sugar free). Luckily he had his medicine and didn't have to go to the ER. I wasn't sure whether or not the girl who made the snow cones made a mistake so I went back today to let the manager know what happened just to let her and her staff know to be more careful because that kind of confusion/mistake is dangerous especially for diabetics. She pushed the blame off onto my father for eating it claiming you "could tell the difference" between their sugar free and not sugar free(we had never been here before), and also said there wasn't much she could do about it besides, "maybe train her girls some more." Very disappointed with her complacency when her product put my father and could possibly put others at risk. Will not be coming back and WILL NOT recommend to others. read more

Iguana Island is AMAZING!!! I love the pineapple whip and the sno-balls are always so soft and delicious. They have like a million different flavors for the sno-balls and all the flavors I've tried are good!! Honestly I think it's SO much better than Josh's! The staff is also super friendly and I always enjoy talking to them because they actually genuinely want to know how your day is going. Our family has been going there since 2014 for the pineapple whips and considered it always to be a fun outing. Then when they added a location near 51st & Memorial we were happy there was a close location as we live in the Brookside area so it is a bit of a drive for a frozen snack. We've gone to this newest location once to twice a week the last couple of months and we get what we've always gotten since 2014 - a small pineapple whip for $2.50. Tonight we tried to order 2 small pineapple whips and they said it was $4 apiece; I said we have always paid $2.50. She aid that $2.50 was the price of the "mini" cup. I wondered if there might be confusion, and the lady I talked to said she was a manager, that she had been there for 3 years, and that the price had always been $4.00 and the small cup I was pointing to was considered a medium and always has been. I called that a lie (yeah, I know, shame on me). Hey, raising prices is a natural in the world of commerce, but don't make up something false and try to force feed it to people. I never was super crazy about the pineapple whips, but it sorta represented a fun outing for the family. This tonight took all the fun out of it. We went to QT instead, got a vanilla cone for 49 cents, enjoyed it just as much and still had our fun outing. If they will lie to their customers so brazenly, they've lost these customers for good - I'm never going to go back there. read more
