Visited this IKEA specifically because they had advertised electric vehicle charging without needing to download a Finnish app (that we couldn't download as Americans.) Gas is more than $9 USD per gallon right now here and we were driving a hybrid in desperate need of charging. We figured we'd get a snack, walk around and come back to a charged car. Unfortunately the payment terminal wasn't working at all. Waste of gas driving all the way here just for it to not work. Luckily, snacks were affordable and I was able to get a couple small things to take back home. We did have to download another IKEA Family card as they're not universal and you need one for each IKEA that you're visiting to get the discounts. Visited May 2026 read more
