Though Sfizy Veg really has a handle on the Berlin vegan pizza market, Zeus is admittedly not doing…read moreso bad for itself. I don't know how long they have offered vegan options, though it seems like the restaurant itself has been around a few years. But there are too menus: one for omnivores and one for veggies. It's somewhat nondescript in decor, but the restaurant has a lot of seating, and an "open" counter area where you can see your pizza dough being rolled out, toppings being added, and the final product placed in the oven. I've had the spinach pizza and also the mista...both were pretty good, though I think the first one I had was better (I was also a bit buzzed when I ate it, which made it irresistible to me). I also found that the pizzas are a bit salty, which is fine because I am a salt fanatic, but something worth noting. All in all, I don't think Zeus is THE BEST VEGAN PIZZA EVER, but if I am craving a bite and in the neighborhood, it certainly is a solid option.

While I tried to not let my "American-ness" show by asking for ranch, I did toss on some of the chili oil and Tabasco they had readily available to give the Pizza a little extra kick. Not sure if it was the dim, candle-lit lighting or being jet-lagged (maybe both?), but don't make the same mistake I did by thinking the shaker of a dark yellow powdery substance is garlic powder because it's really brown sugar! The building itself is impressive. There is even a trampoline and playground outside for the kids. Big parking lot. I am giving lowest rating mainly because of the nasty service we got. It really spoiled our experience. Left with a bitter aftertaste.
