Located in Chianti country amid the beautiful vineyards of Tuscany, this small producer of top quality wine is a treat to visit for anyone who enjoys a glass of wine.
We came here for some wine tasting and lunch. You can make arrangements via their website; our private tour guide make reservations ahead of time. It was a warm, sunny day so we sat outdoors and had our 4 wine tastings and lunch. Prior to sitting down the owner gave us a brief tour of the barrel room. Everyone here was exceptionally nice and treated us like family.
We tried four wines. Three I absolutely loved and the fourth, while not among my favorites, was still pretty darn good. We also had a dessert wine which I liked (and I'm not a fan of dessert wines). Lunch included a charcuterie board with pecorino toscano cheese, a variety of meats, bruschetta, and a salad. That was followed by some gnocchi and pasta with tomato sauce. Some incredible biscotti was brought before us to enjoy with the previously mentioned dessert wine.
This winery visit was one of the major highlights of our trip to the Tuscany region. I made sure to purchase several bottles of their wine to ship home. read more
