It's difficult to spin up a versatile menu given that all (or most) dishes are seafood based but you'll find it here. It's not just a properly prepared piece of fish but the attention to detail in each dish. Every time the waiter walks out you'll be surprised at how pretty the plates are and the accents in the dish. I also like how known classics in this region are served with a seafood spin to it. Passatelli for instance, you find here prepared with lobster in a rich tomato sauce. The staff I found to be super friendly, the drinks on point and mature. The restaurant itself has a nice interior and great ambience. Once you're finished with your dinner there's plenty of room to enjoy the lounge side of the venue. Will definitely visit again.

My guest and I didn't speak Italian very well and the menu was in Italian so the owners asked the Chef to come out and explain the menu to us in English! I was so impressed. The food was innovative, fresh, and well portioned. I really enjoyed the fried seafood plate followed by seafood pasta. DELICIOUS! The wine and port pairing with desert was a beautiful ending to a wonderful meal. I would highly recommend you go here to eat if you are in the area.

In a city where food is an art I recommend stopping by and enjoying a full meal here. I peaked in early while the staff was getting ready for service to try and get a reservation; i was greeted by friendly smiling faces that set us up for an 8:30 p.m. table. We sat outside at an elegant table and our dinner began with smiles and a great local white wine. My appetizer was small scallops on purée of purple potato, cubed foie gras with a basil vanilla oil. My wife had roasted squid tentacles with arrabbiata sauce, burrata cheese drizzled with olive oil. For our primo i had black fermented garlic pappardelle with shrimp tartare, mullet bottarga and pistachio crumbles. My wife had a great plate of gnocchi with clams, flavored with zucchini flower, lemon and pepper. The secondo was a simple but great dish of fried calamari and shrimp with a tarragon based dipping sauce. My wife had prawns al Vermentino with a snapper reduction on a bed of slivered vegetables. We shared crunchy mascarpone cannoli dusted with cinnamon, drizzled with a pistachio chocolate sauce and meringhe crumbles for desert. We started at 8:30 and ended at 11:00 p.m. so please don't be in a rush. Enjoy!

I got a hot tea with lemon, perfect for the cold. We first got the pizza Bella arte, which has a bunch of toppings. I'm not normally a huge pizza fan, but this one was quite pleasant. The crust was thin and the edges had a nice crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. It was flavored nicely and had a good variety. My only complaint would be that toppings weren't distributed evenly. There was a huge one piece of artichoke that comprised a full bite. We also opted for more traditional Balogna dishes: the tortellini en brodo, which was not bad. Soup was seasoned ok, not too salty or too bland. The tortellini itself was simple, with some meat and cheese. Seems like a nice comfort food for those who grow up with it. The tagliatelle al ragú was seasoned well too, although the actual pasta was not as bouncy as others I've had. Not bad though. However at the end we thought we had ordered panna cotta and for some reason it never came. The waiter later seemed confused even though he previously repeated "dessert panna cotta"... so I don't know. But we decided to go without the dessert.... Unfortunately. Maybe a language issue we had.

Several other groups in there, and it's a really nice spot. Food and wait staff were all wonderful. Our group had a mix of steaks, pizza, tortellini and lamb chops, a well as a caprese-style flatbread, and a carafe of red wine. Prices, like everywhere in Bologna, were all a fraction of what you'd pay for a far worse meal in the US, making it painful to leave town.
