It's such a nice place to spend a lazy spring afternoon. You will enjoy the relaxed environment and their food is top notch. The best part in my opinion is that it's away from the cluster of tourists in downtown Florence. My guess is because there aren't too many buses that go up Morello. Their buffets are fabulous and contain many different local meets and cheeses. I love getting their veggie plate, which is an assortment of bread,seasoned veggies, cheeses and olives - Dee-lish . 10 years ago I came here and I discovered the real meaning of hot chocolate. By far the best I ever had. I love coming to lunch here on Sundays, sitting outside on their picnic tables, it is very tranquil and the air is very fresh. I also love watching the cutest little italian kids all dressed up in their church clothes running around and falling in the dirt and otherwise basically driving their parents nuts . Awwww . It's pretty cute. If you are looking for an off the tourist track place to eat and relax. I was there as part of a YELP event trying their autumn menu, when we got there, a beautiful table was set up for us with apples, and fall decorations making the room look extra special. The space is large enough for a restaurant bar area downstairs and upstairs a private table/ extra room (which would be great for dancing). The caterers were friendly and explained each dish before presenting it. The wine was superb as was each touch of details, it seemed as if they really put in quite the effort, from a delicate liver 'foie gras' type starter to a delicate porcini mushroom cake, it was all very good. Dessert was the least impressive, a panna cotta but there wasn't much flavor, though I did enjoy everything else. It is very useful to know that this venue/catering exists in Florence which would make the perfect place for a fall or winter private party. A big thank you to Yelp for introducing me to this place.

The beef carpaccio was also delicious. Florintine more expensive steak was just okay, not mind blowing. The wine they chose was good. The beans and potatoes were good sides. The tagliatelle with truffles was good also. The tiramisu was decent but the Mille fiore with strawberries was very good. The biggest complaint was the service. There was a major lag in between courses and the staff kept asking us multiple times to remove plates before we were done. Something they did not do to the neighboring tables. No one refilled our wine or water unless we asked. No one checked on us either except to continually ask us if they could remove plates with food on them still. And all the other tables got free truffles with their check. We had to ask and they brought 3 truffles for 4 people then made some lame excuse that he didn't know there were 4 of us when we were all there at the table. I would go back to the area for the view but not for the food. Nothing particularly outstanding about the food. Steak was reasonable but it wasn't that special or good.

This was our most memorable, and probably best meal for our entire stay in Italy. It was about a 20 minute cab ride from the Duomo. We walked around the town for a few minutes as we waited for our reservation. From where the cab dropped us off, it was a 3 minute walk up a steep hill. There is apparently a shuttle that can pick you up at the bottom, I was fine with the walk. When you get to the top, there are stunning views for miles both inside and outside of the restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor dining. The restaurant had great ambiance. The staff were all great. They spoke Italian and English. The menu was also in Italian and English. Our waiter called a cab for us as we were getting ready to leave. The food was fantastic. We tried a few of the different homemade pastas. I had the rigatoni with spicy sausage. Would highly recommend. My wife got the tagliatelle with black truffles. I had a little taste, very fresh and flavorful. We also got a few desserts to try. I would highly recommend coming here for dinner at sunset if you are in the general area. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and me tried an appetizer of raw fish served like a pizza...it was delicious! We also tried gnocchi and tuna as main course. Beautiful Selection of wines !!! They also are planning cooking class and in the wine room are planning wine tasting classes! I love this place and I really suggest to everyone who loves excellent food , wine and spirits!
