It's almost like the restaurant is positioned in a cave but it feels homey. Ample light to make it feel intimate and comfortable. The services was good and the wine and food were outta this world. All recommendations were great but would suggest the wild boar ragu and t bone steak. Would def be back when visiting Florence and highly recommend to others visiting.

Wow, what a special place…read more Set inside a 14th-century tower near the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable dining experience from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit, but the food is what truly makes it exceptional. We ordered the ravioli, pappardelle with wild boar ragù, the Florentine steak, a mixed salad, affogato, and fresh strawberries with mascarpone cream. To drink, we shared a small carafe of red wine and a Pinot Grigio. Everything was spectacular. The Florentine steak was easily the best--and largest--I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and remarkably tender, it was the highlight of an already outstanding meal. The pappardelle with boar ragù was rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying, while the ravioli was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish felt authentic, carefully executed, and memorable. The wine was another pleasant surprise. Both selections were excellent and very reasonably priced, making the meal feel like an even better value. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He patiently answered questions, explained the menu, and guided us toward some fantastic choices. Although we thought we were too full for dessert, we're very glad we changed our minds. The affogato was fantastic, and the strawberries with mascarpone cream were absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of the evening was watching our four-year-old happily clutching two spoons and enthusiastically scooping fresh strawberries and mascarpone into his mouth. It was one of those memorable family travel moments that you don't forget. A terrific meal, a unique historic setting, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. This was one of our favorite dining experiences in Florence, and I highly recommend it.

oh my god...hands down the BEST pasta I've had so far during this trip…read more Truffle gnocchi (1000000/10): I'm going to be dreaming of this years from now. Creamy, perfectly salted, and the PERFECT truffle flavor. My mom doesn't like truffle and even she liked this dish. It comes out on a sizzling hot plate and the cheese on top is nice and crispy!! Fresh spaghetti with fresh tomatoes and basil (1000/10): sounds so simple but the spaghetti noodles were the best I've ever had. They were thicker and chewier and perfectly cooked! Everything was so so fresh Complementary bread was meh. Kinda dry and came with this olive (?) dip Hugo spritz (9/10): they don't give it to you in a cute wine glass and don't have mint so it's not aesthetic but was still very tasty! Basically like a fruity sweet white wine I'd definitely go back. Show up right when it opens and you'll be seated immediately!!

The restaurant itself is set on the corner of a square and has about 20 outside tables and 10-15 inside. Very lively and the service was friendly and patient. We ALL ordered the Gnocchi. We also shared the spaghetti with basil and the tagliatelle ragu. Best meal we have ever had and we have been plenty of places all over the world. The spaghetti featured super fresh pasta and the sauce was indescribably good. The tagliatelle was equally amazing. I cannot even describe it. As for the Gnocchi with truffle oil. OMG. No words. The Gnocchi is an experience that will never leave me and will want me wanting another taste.....forever. All were amazing and while we loved it all we all Loved something different more. A bottle of red for mom and dad and soda for the kids. Chocolate cake for desert....amazing. Place opens at 7:30 for dinner and by 7:10, huge line. So reservations or wait. Go!! here!! Now!!

Both the indoor and outdoor tables are lovely (we tried both after our wives were too cold in the wind), and this was the best service we encountered during a week in Florence. Not only were the staff accommodating and brought us everything we needed, but they also steered us toward so many things we weren't going to get, with insistence and good humor. And they were right. The Albanian sommelier and my wine-obsessed buddy fell in love, talked for ages, and we ordered three very nice bottles (classic) as a result (after our spritzes). We had a steak dinner planned for later, but we still ordered the exceptional Florentine beef, just because we couldn't leave without trying it. They blew my mind with the savory mushroom flan, and the fiochetti di pera (perfect purses of pear pasta in a silky cream sauce) were one of the best bites of the trip, and my life. We honestly weren't expecting much, but it turned out to be one of the best meals of the trip.

There was not one thing that I could suggest to make the food more enjoyable. As for the staff, it was like reuniting with family that I haven't seen in years. I would return to Florence just to spend another evening at this amazing restaurant. If you have a chance be sure to eat at 4 Leoni. Rosella is a gemCiao my friends!
