Ila made a transformative difference for my health as a new mother. I first started seeing Ila when we were trying to get pregnant, and I loved her refreshing approach of supporting me to first get my overall health optimal and in balance. Now servicing the North Shore area! I've always heart about acupuncture and Chinese medicine but never had the courage to go. As I get older, I definitely want to focus my attention on taking care of myself with natural treatments. We came to a date and time that worked for both of us. Prior to meeting up, she asked if I could complete a questionnaire form. If you are new to acupuncture, please be very thorough when filling out the form. EVERYTHING happens for a reason and if she is aware of it, the better she can provide treatment for you. When I met Ila for my scheduled appointment, we spent a lot of time going through my form with her asking to elaborate more to better understand. She is very thorough with the entire appointment and her aura is very calming and relaxing. There was a lot of information that she provided and we scheduled another appointment time for the following week. Fast-forward to the next appointment - At this appointment we began by discussing anything new or if changes that were made. Results of those changes and any additional things to try. She then began the process of inserting the acupuncture needles. If you don't like needles, do not watch her insert them. Also try taking deep breaths during the process and relax our body. Ila is a very communicative, patient and compassionate practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese medicine overall. She is a great listener on many levels and has personally helped me relieve tension/pain with acupuncture sessions. Being an avid daily yoga practitioner, I have had places in my hips, legs and back which have tightened in certain regards to natural phases (and past over zealousness) of yoga practice. Ila is very good at her craft! I went there after seeing a pamphlet at a doctor's office and decided to try and address my condition via an alternative eastern medicine approach. She is able to provide accurate acupuncture by placing needles in the exact locations and did not go overboard by placing way too many needles. She then supplemented those efforts with the right mixture of medicinal herbs. After regular visits, the reasons I visited her were eventually addressed.
