my husband and i have banked here a number of years. we've never had a bad experience from the…read moretechnical aspect of banking... our accounts are handled smoothly, and our loans are easy to pay with a fair interest rate. my only complaint is customer service. the girls who are tellers at this bank are young; like just out of high school and maybe into college young. they don't even pretend they aren't. for instance, today.... i came in to do a little banking business. i had my 15 year old son with me. as we approached the counter to do business with a teller, i noticed that one of the three available tellers was 1. eating a frappacino with a spoon. 2. talking with a friend who i assume just stopped by the bank for a social call 3. was discussing at great length her disappointment with a friend who did not drink as much as she did, her extensive shot glass collection, her ocd and her inability to work two jobs and pass two online classes, and her friend's parents desire for her to drop out of college and move home to southern illinois. yes. i heard it all in line. even my son looked at me sideways, as if to say, "i didn't know skanks could be bank tellers." life lesson number one, kid: skanks can do anything you and and i can do. i looked around to see what my other options were for tellers, and i had the choice of "girl a" who was filing her nails at her desk, and "girl b" who seemed bored but made eye contact with me before the other two... so i guess she was the big winner. the teller who helped us was young, but helpful. she did her job, and asked her manager when she didn't know the answers to questions. in all, my banking took about 15 minutes... and the entire.... fifteen minutes... the frappacino shoveling teller continued to talk loudly about things you might talk about with your friends over drinks. you know... when you aren't at work, surrounded by people who don't care about your drinking problem. my business will stay here, because so far, the most important things you depend on a bank for are taken care of. i do most of my banking online, and only really have to come in contact with tellers when i need to make a deposit.
