Waited 30 min to have my pain dismissed in a five minute appointment. Not the first time I've waited a half hour. Will not be returning.

I waited more than hour and a half for before the doctor showed up . I really don't think they should offer walk in appointments.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this urgent care facility. Despite being instructed…read moreby the call center to go to 9977 Woods Drive Skokie and arrive during their supposed open hours, the receptionist could not have been more rude and dismissive, claiming they stopped accepting patients at 3:30 PM. This contradicted the information I received from the call center when I asked to be sure they were open, causing unnecessary confusion and risk to my health. The receptionist (with short gray/yellow/purple hair named Stephanie at Woods Drive at 7:20 pm 12/11/2023) refused to acknowledge any responsibility, even calling the police when I expressed my frustration as she told me I HAD to speak nicely to her before she would see if there was anyone that could help me. The need for coordination between the facility and the call center is alarming, raising concerns about North Shore University Healthcare Systems' overall competence. The fact that urgent care was allegedly not accepting patients since 3:30 pm, the doors were still open at 7 PM, and patients were still being seen. When I asked the call center if I needed an appointment, he said no, it was Urgent Care, just go there. This experience has left me with a profound lack of confidence in the medical group and its recent mergers. I cannot recommend their services based on this and other recent situations. this is painfully unfortunate. Yet, they keep buying more hospitals. I also sincerely hope North Shore University Healthcare takes Stephanie's lack of responsibility seriously. Her dismissive and uncompassionate behavior, especially in a healthcare setting, raises serious concerns about her ability to handle the responsibilities of her role. Her lack of accountability and respect for the job, combined with the potential implications for someone's health and welfare, is alarming. I strongly recommend that the healthcare system reevaluate her suitability for such a crucial position before her actions cause more severe consequences for patients in need. This incident has underscored the importance of having staff who prioritize compassion and responsibility in healthcare settings.

Went to DexaFit after scheduling an appointment the prior week. I spoke with Kate over the phone…read moreand she politely answered all the questions I had about the process. When the time came for the appointment, I met Allie at the facility and she was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and helped me through the three scheduled tests (DEXA, RMR, VO2). She even coached me while I was on the treadmill for the VO2 to help me get those extra steps in. Great technician, top notch tools and super hygienic process overall. She printed the results immediately after the tests and went through each line item, one by one. Even though the appointment went slightly over the allotted time, she never rushed me or hesitated to answer my questions. All in all, this battery of tests was worth every penny. Not only was the experience seamless, the results now serve as the foundation for my fitness plan going forward. They say your body doesn't come with an instruction manual, but this comes awfully close! You get dozens upon dozens of metrics to help guide and adjust your future workout routines and eating habits. I will absolutely be recommending this to anyone who has fitness goals of their own. I ended up buying the 8-pack of credits to get these tests done in the future (wasn't pressured into doing so either, I did it to bring down the per-test cost).

This place is fantastic and really helped me get the data I wanted to be smarter about my weight…read moreloss and nutrition. I've felt like I've been guessing in the past and now I have science-backed body composition info that told me exactly what I need to do. I did a Dexa scan for body composition and got a good read on how much fat and muscle I have and where it is. I also learned one leg is 1lb stronger than the other which explains some joint pain I'm having. I also did an RMR which was awesome. I know exactly how many calories I burn a day at rest, with daily activity and working out. That's a game changer for me. I also now know my body burns sugar as energy before fat which is helpful since I'm trying to lose fat. This place rocks and I'm going back in 3 months to keep me accountable and see how I'm doing.
