I only went here…read morebecause my broken (whatever the f that bone is under your pinky toe is called...metacarsal? metatarsal?) which was validated two years prior by an X-ray. I thought perhaps it had re-broken because it was hurting the same way. Now, for those of your that have experienced broken toes (I've had two on my left foot, one on my right, plus this something-carsal-thing) then you kinda know when it happens. It's like 'yup, that's broken'...actually I have broken lots of bones and also knew it, but I digress. So the I only attended the facility twice, but every single person there (including the Dr.) was extremely pleasant. I never waited and I always felt relaxed. The rooms were super cool too because there were photos that Dr. took on his own vacations (which I also do...at my house...not my Dr.'s office, lol). My main issues for not giving above three (other than no comparison and only two visits) is he never wanted to take an X-ray. And it wasn't because it wasn't covered (or, I'm willing to pay for it) but just he was extremely sure it was not rebroken. I'm not one to argue with a Dr.; they know way more than me but wouldn't a Dr. just try to rule that out? In the end I did receive very caring treatment but no definitive answer. Would I go back? Yes.

The staff is friendly, they run on time (a must for any place in my book) and the doc takes the time to hear what your issue is and then works to solve the problem- in some cases- on the spot with protective padding and other helpful suggestions. The down side for me was he was also quick with shots of cortisone which only masked the pain but didn't really solve the issue which I had to find another doctor to do. Pain shots might be a good solution for some but that's not really the way I want to live. Dr. Salvino has been around a long time so clearly his patients like his approach. It just wasn't the kind of care that I was hoping for.

I went to my current foot doctor. He stated that the screws need to come out. Well I went in this morning for the surgery. They put me under anesthesia and discovered that they cannot remove the screws bc they are disintegrating. I am waiting for my foot doctor to call me tonight to let me know exactly what this means. I hope i am not going to be suffering for the rest of my life. Dr. Nichols did not use medical grade screws. Medical grade screws should last forever. It's only been 7 years. I am so scared. I am wondering why this doctor hasn't been sued multiple times after everything I'm reading about him. Other people have just as horrible experiences as me. Dr. "Goz" is very good and explains all the options before making choices of services needed.
