We came to the evening show of The Little Mermaid. The theater was under renovation on the outside however, it looks exactly as I remembered it inside. The food is traditional buffet style which is just ok~ nothing special. My alcoholic drink tastes like cough medicine. The wait staff is the actors and actresses in the show so they are really busy trying to prepare for the show. The show was great. I love musicals with all theatrics and singing. My suggestions would be to provide additional support to the servers especially during the show. Revamp the entire buffet menu to include some buffet options and made to order options like sandwiches/wraps, burgers, fries, Caesar salads. I would love to return after the full renovations are completed. There is plenty of parking which is a huge plus.

Although it can be a little bit pricey, it is 100% worth it. To see my kid on stage doing the thing they love makes me have such joy. The staff here is wonderful, respectful, and kind (all words my daughter used) to the kids and adults. The props, costumes and sets are all hand made by other people, so there is no stage-crew, focusing mainly on acting. However, there are also voice lessons that have been splendid. It's a 1-man show, kept us enthralled with his intelligent, engrossing, thought-provoking dialogue about his relationship with those he loves, and the connection between love, God, spirituality, etc. Outstanding production at the Horowitz Center for the Arts at Howard Community College. Who would've thought that a top tier, certainly as good as anything in DC--was in the burbs, but it is--and well worth seeing. We've also seen a baroque music concert at the same Center for the Arts, and it was first-class as well. Check it out--less crowds, we found an excellent Vietnamese pho restaurant close-by, world class performances!

The Gordon Center for Performing Arts was a very nice theater to see a musical artist perform…read moreacoustically. I planned a weekend away with my wife to see Luca Stricagnoli. He's a guitarist from Italy and plays a three neck guitar, look him up on You Tube! His fingers are almost alien like how he hits those cords! I'm not sure where Owning Mills is but I have a car with navigation so I'll figure it out. I always have a little push back, the security guard checking everyone's vaccination status (who has a gun on his belt??) says my NY state Vaccine card on my cell isn't recognized. I tell him to get his boss to come up front. The theater director approached the main doors. I explain I'm from New York and.. "this is how we do it.." (dance break) He says not a problem Bill S. Enjoy the show. Once inside, what a beautiful theater! I purchases the first aisle seat (for guy spreading) second row and I have a great view of the stage. The acoustics were spot on and the lighting for the performance was also professional. Nice job Gordon Center crew! I don't live in the state but it was a pleasure to see a great performance at The Gordon Center for the performing arts.

My son is a sports kid whose best friend had been taking camps with CCTA for years he finally…read moretalked him into it. He took the camp & LOVED it! He NEVER would get up and speak in front of others in class or sing at church in the youth programs it took a lot of coaxing to do this camp. Gerald one of the instructors was the best he helped him feel right at home helped him to build his self confidence even played Basketball with him on breaks. He enjoyed all the kids and wanted to go everyday. I couldn't have been more proud to watch him at his performance. What a change. He truly benefited from this camp and will speak in front of groups and give presentations at school and church without hesitation. GO CCTA and thank you Gerald!

I almost walked into a pool building (???) until I saw the Silhouette Stages feather flags a few feet to my left. Parking was a bit crowded as we arrived shortly before the show started, but it seems like there's ample parking between their private lot, some street parking, and the parking lot for the surrounding shops. I wouldn't have minded if we'd gotten there sooner, so I'm not complaining about that (my own fault for being tardy). The theater itself is super cute. One of the ticket-takers jokingly told us there wasn't a bad seat in the house, and she was right! We sat in the second row and the view was great. Maybe next time we'll be able to sit in the raised stands at the back to look down on the stage instead of up at it. The Wedding Singer was awesome. I knew the musical and loved it, so I was SUPER EXCITED to be able to bring two of my best friends to see it. The cast didn't disappoint, it was beautifully done. There were a few moments with mic issues, but they weren't really noticeable, especially if you weren't familiar with the show itself. They had a merch table set up in the lobby if you wanted to buy tote bags or shirts (I think) to support the theater. I'm not sure if there were refreshments or anything during intermission, and I didn't use the bathroom so I can't comment on that. We left pretty quickly after the show finished, so I can't say if there's an opportunity to chat with and congratulate the cast, but it's a small enough theater that it might be possible? I'll be back for sure -- already making guesses on what Season 19's shows will be and looking forward to them!

This 1 (wo)man play was highly entertaining and inspiring. It's a story of self-discovery at a time when racial tension & ignorance were at an all time high. We sat front and center but there is no bad seat in the house. Everyman Theatre has been delivering high quality performances over 30 seasons. They have a professional cadre of actors who perform on a regular basis throughout the season. Additionally, community access & engagement are also cornerstones of this theatre.
