I read an article on Tulsa People about them so I decided to stop by. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by J.T. (Aka Jetara). She was so welcoming and immediately started sharing all about the business. One of their most popular products is their brow duo, a compact case with brow powder, sculpting creme, and mirror. She found the perfect shade for me and did a demo. The difference was very noticeable! The powder has jojoba oil so it conditions the brows and the creme has castor oil which promotes hair growth. They offer waxing services and have fun events throughout the year. Check their website to see what's coming up: a Galentine's event, a foundation workshop, even a brow brunch! I bought a lip gloss that hydrates and is non-sticky. They also promote local businesses. I bought a great scented candle from Tudda & Toots. The strawberries and cream was my favorite. This is a woman and Black owned business focused on offering clean and vegan products while targeting underserved markets and gaps in representation. LAMIK stands for Love and Makeup in Kindness. The boutique is curated with exclusive collections of contemporary Native American artists' work representing 39 tribes, combining fashion and art. Their mission is to showcase the creativity and craftsmanship of Native American designers and provide a platform for their work to be seen and appreciated. I first followed them on Instagram after falling in love with Weomepe Designs jewelry. The artist, Dr. Jessica Moore Harjo, is one of the founding members of the collective. I was very excited to find some of her amazing earrings and shirts at the store. They use the pop-up model to explore the idea of a permanent expansion.
