Why 5 stars:
Star…read more#1: Friendly staff who speak Japanese, German, and English!
Star #2: They serve Calpis! Not listed on the menu, so you'll have to ask for it.
Star #3: Lovely decor. The soy sauce dishes have flecks of gold. There is even a tatami room with the sunken floor.
Star #4: Great view of the Swiss countryside. We saw lots of cute cows, sheep, and horses while driving up.
Star #5: Really yummy and fresh sushi and sashimi. Unbelievable to find such authentic Japanese food in the middle of Switzerland.
Bonus star: Really soothing music in the background, with all my instrumental favorites--Sound of Music tunes, Scarborough Fair, etc. (Yes, I know it's cheesy, but it was the perfect complement to soothe my full belly...)
I can confirm that this place definitely deserves its Michelin star. I'm glad that I found a Groupon to enjoy this exquisite meal at 50% off. Only CHF 60 for dinner for 2. :)
