Karen started the business and has been doing this for 25 years. I met with Debbi who does this because she loves her work. They enjoy doing candid, but not intrusive shots, and are bossy during posed photos and use digital cameras. If I remember correctly, you do own the rights to the photos i.e. your proofs. The office has an indoor portrait studio and a half-acre garden for outdoor photographs. They can shoot bridal and engagement sessions, and weddings. They also do individual, groups, businesses, children, expectant mothers, and pets. The only problem was that they cost a lot more than I wanted to spend on photography. Photography is important to me--I want good pictures of this one day dangit! But 3 hours of coverage with online viewing, album, and parent album, and bridal and engagement sessions was $3650 before taxes. $500 deposit is due at booking, balance due 2 weeks before wedding. They do give a 10% discount for paying by cash or check.

Afterward he even sent us a link of some photos that we could purchase as well. They were some of the best photos that even our photographer didn't capture. We managed to snag her last minute, and got a really, really great deal on pricing. We had a tough time finding a videographer who was willing to provide us raw footage for us to have to watch over the years beyond just a quick 3 minute video or interviews-- let alone one who would do that within our budget. We almost bought a video camera and got a cousin to do it, but luckily we stumbled upon Silver Arrow Photography and got both raw footage and a stunning 5 minute edited video to one of our favorite romantic songs. We hired them for 4.5 hours-- just enough for the 30 minute ceremony and 4 hour reception, but she showed up early and captured some getting-ready moments that turned out to be really special on film. The resolution is super high quality and the video looks bright even on the dim dance floor with rose colored uplights. They uploaded it to Dropbox for us to download our highlight video 4 weeks from the day we got married, and our full raw footage was available about a week after that.
