They showed my kids how the boat operates, took us out to the open water, and let us loose! There was eight of us on board. It was beautiful out on the water, with the rocking waves, and beautiful scenery and sky. But not when you have my kids driving it like a race car on water. We were rocking like crazy and we all got wet. Especially my grandchildren sitting at the front, who were drenched! I told my kids to slow down, but they say, "he said we could floor it." OMG!! The kids had to put on life jackets and the adults were told there are emergency life jackets on board. Well, with my kids enjoying what the boat can do, I threw on my life jacket! I admit, my kids are very responsible drivers on land. They had so much fun driving the boat in the wide open lake. As scared as I was of possibly being overtaken by waves or capsizing, it was an amazing experience, and it felt so good out there. Absolutely beautiful!! I really enjoyed it, and the staff were great. They know exactly what they're doing. The water started to get kind of choppy, so we ventured back towards the shore after an hour, called them on the radio, and staff came out on a dingy to help dock the boat so that we can safely get out. I am so glad I went on this excursion. If you love the water and drifting up and down with the waves, this is a must try!

I tried calling all the numbers that were listed through Golden Nugget but no one returned my call. Once this gets ironed out, it would definitely be a 5-star experience.

Looking on Wednesday for a Friday morning time slot and there it was: 9:30-1:30 was perfect. The web site states exactly what will happen during the 4 hours and offers a phone number to call for questions. Parking and check in were easy and Captain Dan was ready for us. The boat was clean and well stocked with life jackets that fit for both adults and children (ages 8,6,4) as well as water bottles. Before leaving the dock we were offered water for a cooler which we didn't need but the offer was appreciated. Our 4 hours: 1. Safety information 2. Review of our preferences for the tour 3. Lots of history of the area as we toured 4. Emerald Bay & Mrs. Knights castle 5. Water tubing (first time for the grandkids) 6. Hang out time for a snack (we brought lots LOL) 7. Bret gave us free range on where we wanted to go and even gave us recommendations himself based on where the water would be better to swim in as we went during a windy day. The experience was super enjoyable, fun, and relaxing. We got to plug in our own music and as my friends decided to cliff jump, Bret gave me a lesson on paddle boarding as it was my first time. Had a blast paddleboarding and swimming and my friends enjoyed climbing rocks to jump off of into the lake. Bret even gave them a mini lesson on diving into the water. With only 12 people on our tour, we weren't crowded on the 1953 Cris Craft wooden boat --what a classic! Kelsey gave us 8 different wines that were all high quality, providing a nice overview of each. She is funny and personable. We liked one sample so much we shared a full bottle at the end. The cost was appropriate for the generous number of tasting pours. The sunset tour passed by Camp Richardson then to Emerald Bay, where we got a nice history of the castle and area. Before the rest of the group had even boarded, we were offered a drink from the bar, one included in the price of the ticket, or a number of non-alcoholic beverages at no charge. We decided on a mango-pineapple juice. We casted off just a few minutes after 7pm with lots of information being given be the captain. As we cruised toward Emerald Bay, the captain shared quite of bit of history and trivia about Tahoe and the surrounding areas. As we were pulling into the Emerald Bay area, the captain spotted a bald eagle landing in one of trees. He steered the boat toward the trees getting as close as he dared The only thing my friend did to the photo below was to zoom in closer. The sunset on Tahoe was beautiful along with the surrounding areas! Now that the sun has just about disappeared, it was time to head back to the dock. The crew of this yacht made sure everyone was attended to from the moment they boarded this ship until they disembarked. They came through regularly to take the empty cups/glasses and trash and asking if there would be anything else. If you are looking for a relaxing, semi-quiet evening, we did get a bit noise on the front end of the ship, to share with friends, think about a nice sunset cruise.

He was a great guide and catered our time to accommodate a quick swim off the boat in addition to sightseeing. I appreciate that BayWatch was clear and upfront about additional holiday charges and communicated well about possible traffic during this busy holiday weekend to make sure we didn't miss out on our time slot. I had expected a one-person kayak. They did offer to pull me or have the boat pick me up if I got tired. I made it through without assist, but it's easier if you have someone to paddle with you. 2) The water is normally calmer in the mornings, so book the early tour if possible. 3) They take a pic of you in your kayak in the water, which is super nice.
